Definitely a fight Mosley could win. He has a chin of absolute stone too. Never seen him phased from a punch. And he has that in-out style that could keep Margo off him awhile. But I worry about Shane's stamina at the end...he's getting older, and he has been huffing and puffing a lot in recent fights despite maintaining a good output.
I like his chances and would love to see it. Well, other than the monster shots Forrest hit him with in round 2 (after the headbutt) of their first bout, there haven't been many that jump to mind. Forrest did nail Mosley with an awesome body shot, too. As someone else said, if Shane can find his rhythm, he could keep Margarito lunging. I would worry about this, too. And I would also worry about the fact that Margarito might be able to hurt Shane more than anyone else ever has, but I think Mosley would hang in there.
I think some of the kids in the forum are cases of Roid-rage. It's just a fight and we're trying to do a post commentary. Some people are bound to miss their predictions, that doesn't mean that they are f'ing idiots.
Perhaps, but hey, what a nine rounds! :deal I think I like this fight so much because if anyone's got the style and physical tools to really plumb the depths of Margarito's chin and determine whether or not it is in fact it's a bottomless pit, it is the reckless, fearless, strong, tough, wade-in-and-swing-free Mayorga. There are certainly other guys more likely to beat Margarito with their skillsets, but few with that right combination of stupid bravery and raw power to absorb the necessary punishment in landing a titanium-testing hail mary.
Mosley - Margarito would be a stellar fight - but you are right in that Mayorga - Margarito would be fight of the decade! That's a natural fight as they both narrowly avoided each other at welterweight a few years ago.
Mosley-Margarito would be a sensational fight and its a tough one to pick. I probablly go with Shane he can mix things up and still has alot more speed the Margarito plus he takes a great shot and can fight a strong 12 rounds. However ill start calling for it depending on Shanes fight with Mayorga considering Shane is 37 father time is starting to creep up on him if he where to walk into a Margarito fight with not much left in his ability id be afraid of what could happen.
rematch with PW first. Then winner of Judah vs Clottey. Mosley bitched out of contention when he dropped the Judah fight to go for Mayorga and yes i know Judah postponed the fight because he got injured, but Judah still wanted the fight to be on, and he is fighting before Mosley anyways.
I'd rather see Mosley-Maragarito, personally (again, assuming he beats Mayorga, which I expect he should).
