 Damn right. I'm praying Pavlik will be the favorite. I don't often bet on boxing, but I might make an exception if this fight comes to fruition. :yep

    :huh

I am American. I think both are great fighters. I think Calzaghe has a good shot at beating Pavlik, but given Pavlik's youth, power, and recent performance i.e. tonight against Lockett, I'm hoping IF this fight gets made, Pavlik will be the clear favorite....:yep

It'd be hard not to bet on the fight, if Pavlik is made the betting favorite.

All that aside, I think most fans want to see Pavlik/Calzaghe.

I think you are making a good point. Calzaghe does have fast handspeed but he has been pretty easy to hit recently. He likes to exchange and fight with his hands low.

I can easily see Pavlic landing on him and wobbling him and following up with more pressure and getting a stoppage.

    Calzaghe UD.

Abraham-Pavlik would also be very acceptable.

Go Pavlik!!! This is rapidly becoming what could be the biggest fight in all of boxing, esp. considering PBF looks to be out and the Cotto fight is forgotten.

that is correct. Joe stylistically matches up the best against straight line fighters. Joe would have to feint well, use his variety and outstanding footwork to create angles and punching lanes. Joe would use the first 2-3 rounds to observe how kelly is fighting and then he would adjust. Joe will move away from Kelly's right hand and keep his right hand extended slightly trying to jab over top of KP's jab in similar fashion to the Kessler fight. Joe has a granite chin and has only been dropped twice which both times were very early in the fight. In my opinion, Kelly's best chance is to try and end the fight early (before the 4th or 5th) because once Joe adjusts he tends to win a large majority of the later rounds.

Kelly is a natural lefty that just prefers fighting orthodox.
