They should feed Ortiz a few more somewhat soft touches, fine tune him to the best of their abilities, then make this match-up.

Rios got a chin, Ortiz has no heart. Brandon will break him down.

In theory that's great, but I think they won't put the time and money into it knowing he'll just quit again.

Rios makes him quit after a few good rounds.

Rios would chop this tree down in 3 rounds then quit time for ortiz.

Not like you can't make money off of Ortiz. He's a name, he's never in a bad fight. He's certainly not boring.

If he strung together a few decent wins that were at the same time exciting him vs Rios could be a pretty big fight.

No, Ortiz isn't consistent enough to do that. They need to fight right now.

I don't know..he just rolled over in the Collazo fight. too much of that and he won't be bringing in any money at all. name or not, if he just wants to pose for 2 rounds and then fall over and play dead there's not much to do with him but feed him to the wolves.

Eh. He was legitimately hurt and went full re****.

Collazo isn't the type of fighter any sane matchmaker would put the guy in there with though. Someone who's also gotten world class fighters like Berto and Hatton disorganized and hurt.

Did you see how Ortiz looked against Perez? Super limited come forward, no power tough guy. But, that's the point. Ortiz looked sensational, it flattered him.

They need to keep him active against guys like that if he's going to have any kind of a future in the sport.
