Rumsfeld: He'll get exceptions to dodge Povetkin for 1-2 years.

    MVC: He won't do that.

MVC: He will avoid Povetkin for at least a year if not a year and a half.

EDIT: I just saw your edit. I guess you meant 2015. Ok.

Oh! I don't think he'll give up the title, either. It brings prestige, money, and leverage. Unless he loses it in the ring, he won't vacate barring an absolute last resort, and I don't see it coming to that.

Enter the political loopholes that Wilder can and will exploit. He'll get more leeway than most, being a commodity that is an American heavyweight title holder.

He'd be stupid not to exploit these. They will be there for him in abundance. Kind of like the Cotto-Geale winner being mandated to face Golovkin - only fools believed that would happen.

Haha it is true that WBC is ridiculous when it comes to granting extentions, ala Vitali/Ward etc.

It might happen with Wilder but I'm quite sure he won't be crushing cans for long. He will be pressured to take that Povetkin fight and I fully expect him to take it and win in resounding fashion.

Yeah he has been doing that during the beginning of his career, nobody denies that.

But he's fought some great fighters.

All Wilder has is his physical attributes. Povetkin v2.0 is going to destroy him

Risin' up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive

So many times it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

It's the eye of the tiger
It`s the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
    And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
    And he's watching us all
with the eye of the tiger

Face to face, out in the heat
    Hangin' tough, stayin' hungry
They stack the odds till we take to the streets
For the kill, with the skill to survive

It's the eye of the tiger
It`s the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
    And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
    And he's watching us all
with the eye of the tiger

Risin' up, straight to the top
Had the guts, got the glory
Went the distance, now I'm not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive

It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
    And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
    And he's watching us all
With the eye of the tiger

    The eye of the tiger
    The eye of the tiger
    The eye of the tiger
    The eye of the tiger

Malik Scott is very good, he beat Glaskov and everyone knows it.

Stiverne is very good, top 5.

Wilder would be in over his head with Povetkin. Should be a fun fight while it lasts.

Scott lost every time he stepped up, so no, he isn't very good

and isn't it strange how Scott lost to Chisora before getting gifted a "title shot" against Wilder? you don't see it? :think
