not exactly, but he's dealt with similar styles....the last time maravilla looked bad, and got hit at will was vs a pressure fighter.....

People said those same thing about Pac before JMM 3:deal

It's simply hard to gauge how much Martinez improved, when he's fighting cans

its not pointless to bring that fight up, Pressure has given Martinez problems and Jr is young enough fresh enough and strong enough to follow the blue print and get it done which he will he will back Martinez up bang him to the body and the moment Martinez hits that low in the mid rounds as he always does Chavez will continue to put it on him and finish him.
Chavez by TKO round 8 or 9

Again, that fight was TWELVE YEARS AGO. That's like the equivalent of saying that Hopkins has no chance against Trinidad since Tito is young and fresh enough to follow the blueprint set out by Clinton Mitchell.

I can at least kind of understand bringing the Williams fights up in this context, but even there, Williams' workrate was the main thing that gave him trouble and it was leagues beyond Chavez's (and Martinez arguably won that first fight anyway).

He hits spots when he is in those kind of fights, recently with Barker and his last fight he had hit a spot in there again its just that those two didnt have the style to take advantage of that, he will hit that flat spot again and Junior will close the show bank on it

Why would anybody have to be mad, its not like you can really call that revenge, lets be real if you really felt Margarito did cheat against you why do you need the catchweight?
Why do you need him to use Everlast only Gloves?
Why do you need a NY venue only or no fight?
and last but not least why do you feel the need to have Nazim there to play mind games?
if you really felt cheated, those actions are clearly that of a man who is looking for an advantage a man who does not believe in himself or his own corner.
You dont call it revenge by having a Dr save you when you run out of Gas you beat that mother ****er down to the point in which he does not talk **** about you, you make them respect you going away that didnt happen.

Chavez's workrate isn't exactly consistently high throughout fights, especially in the first six rounds. Additionally, Barker was applying pressure that was far more conservative and far more educated than Chavez has demonstrated, and the "lulls" against Barker and Macklin (and Pavlik) were largely a product of Martinez being forced to lead, something absolutely no one expects him to have to do in this fight.

None of what you said though justifies bringing up the Margarito fight as relevant in any way.

Ny venue sure did produce $

Catch weight made no difference since both men have campaigned around similar weights in the past

Everlast gloves in my opinion (personal exp) don't differ much vs Reyes the only gloves that I truly felt a difference in where winnings.

Naz in the corner was exactly what you described a mind game though I don't see how you can twist that and claim its some sort of ***** move? Psychological advantage is all part of the game.

Trust me Margo was not coming on strong cotto started leaning in pushing and pivoting towards the later rounds which naturally allowed Margo to touch him more than the prior rounds....margs legs where almost gone and cotto left hooks where starting to move him. Your perspective on the flow of the fight in my opinion is somewhat biased or perhaps misinterpreted. Margo would never admit defeat it's not in his nature he was embarrassed that night and regulated back to boxings dungeon of course he's going to talk ****. I actually don't think he wore pads but I wasn't there and neither where you.

So I take it the only way to gain respect was to fight margs fight and lose....how can you even implie that? That fight was nothing close to gift wrapped....how do save someone who was comfortable ahead on all score cards never hurt wobbled or floored? I can understand if margs hand concussive power but he needs several flurries to exact a ko vs anyone above b level. The angles cotto used wouldn't allow him to execute such.

Get the **** out of here, watch RD 7 when the tape was loose, there is no sig on that tape meaning Diaz added that tape in between rounds to buy time as Cotto was starting to fade.
the final round of the fight Cotto was holding and running, he was out of gas, Margarito knew it watch him gesture his corner and tell Robert he is all done, I got em now and at that very moment that is when the Dr came in and saved Miguels ass the same ****ing round that he hit a wall in fight 1.

Regarding the Everlast Gloves and the Reyes gloves to you there may not be a difference to a fighter who has used Reyes his entire career he is going to feel a difference you know that, so lets not pretend like the gloves were not a factor they were and I will explain how.
HBO through the entire night, well Tonys punches dont seem to have the same effect, which I disagreed with but they said that bascially to make the viewer believe he did cheat in that fight all with out pointing out to the viewer these were bigger gloves and a different brand not the punchers glove...

I can tell you this had the Dr not stopped the fight there Miguel would have lost again......

Nope, but you do not demand all these extra goodies and win by way of a Dr who is Puerto Rican the moment you hit the same wall you did last time out, if you feel the man cheated you go out there and prove it put it on him, we didnt get that Cotto knew better he knows Margarito didnt use loaded wraps which is why he stayed away on the outside had bigger gloves and a catchweight.
