The more I look at it, the more harvey is going to get in my list. I'm at 8/9 and starting to struggle.
This is my shortlist so far (one's in bold are a lock for the 10): Randy Turpin Alan Minter Terry Downes Bob Fitzsimmons Tony Sibson Herol Graham George Gardner Nigel Benn Chris Eubank Chris Pyatt Len Harvey Jock McAvoy Howard Eastman They're in particular order yet :good
http://boxrec.com/ratings.php?country=UK&sex=m&division=Middleweight&status=E&SUBMIT=Go This is Boxrec's top 25...... I'd have thought Kaylor would be in the top 25, Watson not being doesn't surprise me with their method of scoring, but a stoppage win over Benn and outclassing Eubank in the rematch would put him in there pretty easily I'd say.
They've put Watson at SMW I think. Kaylor and Watson are now on the shortlist but I don't think Kaylor will make the cut :good
1. Randy Turpin 2. Alan Minter 3. Bob fitzsimmons 4. Terry Downes 5. Tony Sibson 6. Nigel Benn 7. Chris Eubank 8. Herol Graham 9. Len Harvey 10. Michael Watson
Do you know how they score their rankings? A lot of the time they seem to favour shorter careers with few losses over longer ones with more loses.
No George Gardner? He has some quality wins, also went 20 with Jack Johnson despite weighing no more than 155.
Benn over Eubank? I have always thought that Eubank had the better middleweight record than Benn, but Benn had the better record overall.
I don't know enough about the guy as regards what fights were at middleweight so I left him out. I'll do a little more digging, it won't be the end of the world to lose one off the bottom of the list.
