    He's of Rican desent...though if he loses many will claim him as a Philly kid with small percentage of Rican sprinkled in the DNA (the only reason he obtained a strap in the first place :yep).

    Haha, you didn't pwned me, I just pointed out that when you think of the classic fighter who is "unorthodox" you don't think of Ward. Slick, difficult style, yes but I wouldn't say unorthodox with all due respect to McCracken.

    I also said that Marquez can be a boxer but puncher? He didn't have great power at 130 let a lone at WW. He's a great boxer but his classic style is as a counter puncher.

    boxer/puncher doesn't literally translate to good boxing skills, and good punching power, though. . it just means that they box very well, and punch very well; moreso, meaning they possess surgical precision. . Marquez didn't have great one punch power, but due to his accuracy, and the way he strung his combinations together, he was a very effective puncher, i.e. 39 KO's in 50 some fights! :admin
