That’s it. Pad their record to 25/0 and sell them as the next thing. It’s ok in a division that isn’t stacked but when the title holders are all good, it means you fall well short.

Callum Smith (he's in his pomp, let's see him in meaningful big fights)
    Buatsi
Yarde (as already mentioned, the gap in ability between what he was fighting to Kovalev was ridiculous).
Jack Catterall (which will happen if the Ramirez fight is made)
Billy Joe (as per Callum Smith)
    Sunny Edwards
Dubois (which it looks like we're getting with Joyce)

Tysons last 5 opponents included 4 fighters outside the top 40 and 1 fighter who arguably has the weakest resume in the 10.

Hughie is different from others mentioned. He has taken 3 established top quality opponents in Pupev,Parker , and Povetkin. You could argue he has been mismanaged fighting guys outside the top 40 and then fighting 3 legit top 10 fighters. I would just like to see him fight someone between 15-30 instead of going from one extreme to the other.

To be fair Fury had 3 years out and had to lose 10 stone. Fought 2 gimmes to shake off the ring rust and then went in with Wilder. Fought 2 more bums in the US then the WBC by stoppage.

Had to return to this, after this weeks "build up" to the Sunday boxing and the crap I'm having to endure from Hearn, Matchroom and Sky it has to be Buatsi.

27 years old now, 28 early next year so he isn't a baby, has an excellent amateur background and what are we getting? Nothing.. so what are they hiding or what are they doing?

I was backing this man, supported him during the Olympics and had heard of him and have followed him from a distance from way back to ABA wins but it's just getting worse and worse. It's hard to defend these opponents and the speed at which he is climbing.

Hearn has mouthed off long enough about the quality of Yardes opponents, many of us have, but Buatsi did have an amateur background, a high level amateur career and Hearn is quick to tell everybody Conor Benn needs time because he didn't have a long amateur career but didn't give Yarde the same pass.

Buatsi seems rather content to fight unknown Euro bums and according to Hearn now on the recommendation of ALEN BABIC.

WTF is going on at Matchroom? ALEN BABIC recommending Buatsi opponents.. it's a clown show now, a real clown show.

Hearn is telling the world Buatsi is "world class" and would win a world title NOW, he is screaming down Kugans camera "Beterbiev we are coming for you".

Yet Buatsi won't even fight Callum Johnson, his team don't want that fight, they want nothing to do with Johnson, an easy fight to make, a legit opponent, but they are going to take their time, milk Buatsi for all his worth and try and wait until Beterbiev is 40 years old and faded before trying to do what Yarde did.

I give Yarde stick but at least he took a gamble, had a go, went for it and didn't embarrass himself either really, but Buatsi for all his talent and he does have talent is taking the pee, Hearn is writing cheques Buatsi isn't cashing any time soon.

So yeah, Buatsi needs to step it up rapid if he is what they say he is.

Have to agree, I’m baffled by his progress. It’s strange how you get fighters like Taylor and Joyce who also had the amateur career but have opted for the more difficult opponents straight off the bat. Joyce has only been held back because fighters didn’t want the risk, such as Chisora. Buatsi has the talent, what’s the point in treading water knocking out domestic level opposition. Show everyone how good you are & make a statement.

Good post. So frustrating the way fighters like Buatsi with there amateur pedigree are handled in the first few years of there pro careers. Just wasting time. Josh Taylor’s first 15 or so fights should be the relative norm for experienced world class amateurs coming through

Buatsi next opponent looks will be guy currently ranked in boxrec below top 100.
These his opponents he already had, looks that if they ( opponents ) had in the ring instead of Buatsi guys like Bolotņiks, Ward, Burton, these opponents too had been steamrolled by these guys with a glance and really damn quickly.

Greta post. It was alluded to on a podcast that Hearn just cant build a fighter. He is all about getting that payday and cashing out. People will argue thats a good thing but as a fan its really frustrating.

Buatsi is now in danger of becoming what they hated in Yarde. We gave Yarde stick for years for boxing shepherds but if Buatsi's next bout isn't a name he will lose a lot of stock.

Name is not necessity, at least had picked higher ranked boxer than this guy for next fight.
    https://boxrec.com/en/event/816171/2546572
    Ranked #14 vs ranked # 155 :Dtoday ( boxrec ranking ).
Looks beautiful:ibutt, and yes, this opponent is ranked considerably!!!!! lower than Ward or Burton.
Looks like next easy night in the office because such impressive difference in boxers ranking.
Ward and Burton both at least are in top 100 in this ranking.:nonono
Yeah, they both most likey too will defeat this opponent that will have in the ring this prospect.
Bolotņiks looks too dangerous game for him.

The British LHWs have no excuse whatsoever there's so many of them. Buatsi, Yarde, Burton, Callum Johnson need to fight each other before stepping beyond British level again
