Correct. If you don;t want a crappy stream that cuts out every 5 minutes, it only costs a few quid a year to sort out.

Based purely on the number and quality of fights I personally am able to watch, this is the best time I can remember since I started following boxing.

in response to TFFP and Gaz

I have all the set up. a **** hot macbook and a super fast wireless connection. when i do watch the fights live there is no problem and i can hook i up to my tv no worries.

my issue is that when its on sky i can record it and watch it when i wake up, not get up at 4am and **** my week up. also if i am downloading a fight the next day it takes a day to become avalible and a day to download no matter how quick your computer and connection is.

I would like to see an in demand replay service offerd by the promoters.

But primetime have yet to bring us a live show from the 6 major promoters mentioned. i am sure they have reached out to them, so wonder what the issue is.

If you download an avi it doesn't take that long. Especially if it's a fresh upload and everyone jumps on it.

Yeah, DVDs do take a day or so to download.

With all due respect I doubt TV industry bigwigs care about your schedule mate.

I know this is beside the issue but most fights are avalaible to download a couple hours after finishing. I usually start them off Sunday the morning and they are usually done by mid-afternoon. It suits me as I like having a "collection", sad I know!!

Whatever the issue is I guess its connected with why the Beeb, ITV etc won't get fully behind these late fights. They just mustn't make much financial sense.

My "wishlist", which I think is realistic, would be for BBC or ITV to sign with a British promoter and do a Friday or Saturday night card every few weeks with maybe the odd 3am fight from America tagged on every now and again.

That would hopefully widen the sport in this country which I think is something that badly needs doing.

Mate, I'd love to do that, but between my connection speed and file-sharing, it's just a nightmare for me. I'd also like a collection, but there's no valid way for me to do it.

My laptop's godly (Intel i7 and such), but the internet capability round my way is pathetic. Can't get cable either.

Where's abouts you from mate? Thought most areas would have decent lines by now.

    Sky internet is decent.

I have the highest spec Macbook and decent connection it still takes me a few days to download a fight.

Falkirk in Scotland. The whole area's factored though, so to install cable is unlikely cause they need something like 70% of the residents to agree. And they're so stupid they throw bricks at firemen when they've come to put out fires.

Rob, I can't bear to give Sky money if I can avoid it.

I'm looking to see if BT can offer a better line. It's either that or move. Which it may come to. I want a bigger back room for all my interests.
