I got of the train at Hamburg central once & turned right instead of left & ended up in what can only be described as 2nd world war bombed out Hamburg!! Just an area full of shithouse turk bars & strip clubs & hotels just a couple of 100 yards from the station. Retracing my steps very briskly i may add i went back into the station & took the correct exit & walked into modern day Germany. ****in incredible:smoke

Looks like i've got to fly from London. Cant find a package under £600 for 2 nights of quality. How far is the footie stadium from central hamburg? Anyone know the distances?

Ive got 2 people booked, 2 others interested and I'm trying to tell them that they need to decide ASAP before places get booked up. Its like talking to myself though.....atsch

 

Its 18 mins in the car from the reeperbahn...under 10km

 

Its doing my head in waiting to find out when & where the tickets will go on sale.

Got plans but wont book transport & accomodation until I can get a ticket, this being my 1st fight abroad.

I'd like to make a long weekend of it, Eurotunnel Friday morning, lunch in Brussels then a train to Hamburg. Fri night & all of Sat in Hamburg then train to Amsterdam on Sunday. Have a night in the Dam then fly back Mon morning.

That gentleman will be a quality weekend.

Try looking thru expedia, i booked thru booking.com(270 euro for fri/sat), but im sure it was cheaper on there.

my mates text saying either july 1st - 4th manc to hamburg £250

or

july 1st - 3rd leeds to dusseldorf £90 then a 4 hour train ride

wat ya reckon would be better?

 

I'd rather pay the extra and fly from Manchester..... plus you don't have the train ride.

Coming in and out of Leeds airport is like being on a bungee ball. Not good at all.

 

yeah i was thinking that plus wondering how much it is dusseldorf to hamburg on the train and back! might be 100€ plus!
