    A simple Boxing day proposal. Rate these modern greats in a 1-10 format (highest to lowest ranked):

    Manny Pacquiao
    Floyd Mayweather Jr
    Bernard Hopkins
    Roy Jones Jr
    Erik Morales
    Juan Manuel Marquez
    Marco Antonio Barrera
    Felix Trinidad
    Shane Mosley
    Joe Calzaghe

    I think they can be split into 3 separate levels of greatness. For me, Pac, Roy, PBF and Hopkins are at the top of the pile, each could be ranked in the top 30 of all time. After that I have the Mexican trio, who are all locks for my top 100 of all time. Calzaghe, Tito and Shane would be in the lowest bracket. All 3 are great fighters but there's no guarantee I'd have them in my top 100 and if I did they'd be scraping in between 85 and 100.

    Tough one, had to put Mosley above Calzaghe because he was at the top level for so many years, while Calzaghe doesn't have as good a level of opposition IMO.
    RJJ and Mayweather could both be top of the list, impossible to say.

    Tito deserves to be rated much higher. He was the longtime undefeated and undisputed Welterweight champion and unified Light Middleweight. He won the Middleweight title and lost in unifying it against the great B-HOP, who has fought as high as Light heavyweight. No PED's either. Great man great fighter.

    Really though there's not a lot to split any of them.

    It does feel harsh having Mosley bottom, but since his first defeat has lost as many as he's won and never looked the same fighter.

    Barrera, Morales and Marquez could easily be any way round tbh. I think his three wins over Pacquiao and dominance at 135 elevate him over the others, but I would accept the argument that his 126 isn't that impressive in all honesty, whilst Morales has a claim to being in the top 3 ever at 122, and Barrera was impressive across three weights.

    The losses to Junior Jones look bad though....
