    Judge TFFP scored the contest:

    1) 10-9 Barrera
    2) 10-9 Barrera
    3) 10-9 Morales
    4) 10-9 Morales
    5) 10-9 Morales
    6) 10-9 Morales
    7) 10-9 Barrera
    8) 10-9 Barrera
    9) 10-9 Barrera
    10) 10-9 Morales
    11) 10-9 Barrera
    12) 10-8 Barrera

    115-112 for Barrera

Round 1 - Barrera starts well, Morales comes back, edge for MAB.

Round 2 - Easy round for Barrera

Round 3 - Morales outworks him, not with the quality of punching Barrera displayed so far.

Round 4 - Morales outboxes him from range for the first minute, Barrera lands punishing blows up close in the second minute, Morales backs him up in the last minute. Barrera gets better of final exchange. Morales slightly, he's the general.

Round 5 - Quiet, Morales with the jab, but then Barrera stuns him with overhand right and unloads in the first. Morales goes all out in the second minute dominating, finally landing the right regularly - Barrera blowing around like an oak tree for a long time. With 70 seconds left Barrera lands right and hurts Morales. His attack is not as sustained as Morales. Both tired in the last 60, Barrera lands a right on the bell. Round for Morales, I think he had the better of more of the round.

Round 6 - Pace slowed after their previous efforts. Barrera ring general in the first minute, lands 2 good rights + left hook to the body, nothing from Morales. Morales on the jab in the second 60, takes back control. Morales stalks in the last 60, no real quality but he outworks as Barrera takes a time out. Morales gets the better of the majority of the round, even though Barrera landed the two best punches they seem a distant memory.

Round 7 - Barrera lands left hook/uppercut early, Morales flurries for the rest of the first minute but tight defence from MAB. Again, early in the second Barrera lands clean overhand right. Rest of the second in the pocket, Barrera landed a steady stream of hard blows while Morales works and works. MAB looks stronger inside. Last minute the quality tails off, except Barrea lands on the bell as he so often seems to. Again a work/quality conundrum, but I definitely feel Barrera's quality outweighed this time, Morales struggling for accuracy and strength.

Round 8 - Morales jab just about dictates the first 30, but Barrera responds to even up the first minute. Morales starts well second minute, light on his feet and throwing nice long punches. Loses concentration, nice right from MAB. Barrera nails another right/left hook combo stunning Morales on the ropes. Last 60...nothing much except left hook downstairs from MAB. Last 20 seconds they go to war, punches exchanged, but to me its Barrera pushing him back, Barrera with the better punching form, and Barrera landing the better punches. Strong round for Barrera.

Round 9 - Morales again dictates the first 30 with the jab, but again makes the mistake of getting nailed by a huge left hook to undo himself. MAB lands more to rubber stamp the first minute as his. Sheer heart and guts in the next half minute from Morales, pumping out tired looking shots but they score. Really strong second minute from Morales actually! That continues into the last minute, but 2:30 Barrera responds with right hand. AGAIN the theme continues, MAB blasts him right before the bell. Now this is the hardest round yet for me, its difficult to find the heart to not give this for Morales, yet Barrera did land the best shots, and quite a few.

Round 10 - WTF is wrong with Lederman? Great round for Morales, completely outworked him but also landed telling blows. Barrera didn't land much for once, and didn't even punch him on the bell!

Round 11 - Good first 30 for Morales, 1-2 combinations that have been his staple diet. Barrera responds with crushing right. Second 30 seconds nice bodywork from MAB inside, but also some subtle headshots from Morales. Even thus far. Next 30 no quality, Barrera leaning forward and occasional bodywork, Morales working away inside. Nice couple long rights from Morales, he's just outworked him through the second minute. Last minute, right from Morales, left hook Barrera of equal quality. Huge right from MAB. MAB stronger in the last 30. Hugely difficult round to award this pivotol round on my card, but I just felt like Barrera's punches were more memorable.

Round 12 - Wow, MAB goes all out in the first 30. MAB takes a breather, now its Morales turn through the next 30 with 2 long rights, his best punch. All even after 1. MAB stalks in the second minute, neither do any work of significance until Barrera flurries on the ropes. The lefthook from Barrera, Morales wobbles back onto the ropes...another left-hook. Morales down and called a KD by the ref, Morales looks bemused. Morales gets up firing in desperation. Can't see a replay to judge the KD so I gotta call it. 10-8 round as Barrera won it too.

In the version I was watching McCrory had MAB winning pretty convincingly.

McCrory's a clown. He won by 1 or 2 rounds plus a knockdown. I can't see any more than that.

    Vazquez vs Marquez III anyone?

    I had that a draw.

Was he highest quality all out war/brawl/balls to the wall battle I have seen, or probably will see.

People go on about the Gatti vs Ward trilogy but those three fights were nowhere near as good as either the Vazquez Marquez trilogy or the pair of trilogies involving Erik Morales.
