It's something to consider, I thought about this from the start. You don't have to justify nothing by throwing out a score.

    Agreed

It's often only a few rounds where the scoring varies, it's intersting to see how people scored those pivotal rounds

If folk can't be arsed watching the fights, fair enough - but this thread is about watching them properly and scoring them accurately...

    115-114 de la hoya
i thought some rounds were very hard to score.round 1,2,4,7,9 i thought de la hoya landed cleaner shots but tito was forcing the fight.if de la hoya let his hands go more he would of won.he threw combos in the last ten seconds to try steal rounds but if he did that earlier in those rounds as well he would have won easily

I've updated, but only for people who posted their full scorecards. I'm happy with the turnout so far..still awaiting a few regular contributors also!

    Maybe some people are

But I can assure you - while I didnt watch these youtube video that TFFP posted.

I use to have this fight on video tape that I recorded off Sky at the time and watched it loads of time

And sat down and watched it all once with a piece of paper and a pen and scored it

because it was seen as contovsial at the time

and I scored 115-113 for De La Hoya.

if you liked titos aggression - then Felix was the aggressor all the way.

But De La Hoya gave him a bit of a boxing lesson and landed with the better blows.

this fight is where De La Hoya really got labelled his "chicken" De La Hoya nickname

for running the last 3 rounds - when he should have closed the show strongly and won the decsion.

    how about you do

    Joe Calzaghe V Robin Reid

everyone hates Calzaghes - 46 fight undefeated record

and loads of people reckon Reid beat him

    make some interesting debate

I don't know why he did that either.

Knowing the dodgy judging of Lewis Holyfield only months earlier you shouldn't just get on the bike.

He hadn't gassed, had a granite chin, so wtf!

De La Hoya's stamina has always been his weakest suit. He must have felt Tito was much stronger than him, and that he was well ahead - quite obviously.

In hindsight it was a terrible move.
