i totally agree, the ref was excellent in the fight...let them work out of the clinches, and was very forceful of the rules that night.

Nah, a lot better fight than I remembered it as. 4-3-1 isn't conclusive but (IIRC) the 3 that scored it to Collazo did so by one point so I think we can scrub this one off the "Robbery List"?

Well let's be honest the only people who called it a robbery in the first place were either just plain haters (not naming any names) or yanks just trying to **** on Hatton's resume.

    Not a robbery.

The only thing I'd say is he is fortunate to have all 3 judges score the fight in favour of him, two by strange margins IMO. Two managed to find 115-112 when there were only a couple of genuine swing rounds. It was an inexperienced judging panel.

I'd like scorecards from Ishy, D-MAC, trotter and anybody else before we move onto something else. At least 10 are needed for a fair if small sample.

I can see you having a "problem" with the 3 point spread but the number of judges who voted for Hatton isn't really an issue. They vote indivually, because a fight is a unanimous it doesn't always mean it wasn't a closer fight than a fight that ended in a split decision, just that the judges happened to agree.

I had it 6-6 with a kd for Hatton so 114-113 Hatton.

It's still strange, purely on odds, when you've got a fight with a few close rounds yet all seem to be awarded for the benefit of fighter A. Perhaps we need 9 judges! ;)

And we all know that rightly or wrongly Boxrec hunters see a UD as being more conclusive than a SD. Especially when they see two 115-112 scorecards!

see thats why i think hatton clearly won this fight, even if it was close...he got a UD....its not like marquez/pac 2 where it was split and could have gone either way.

throughout the fight i thought collazo was landing the more effective punches and was boxing better OTOH hattons workrate got him through the fight i dont think his punching were as good as collazos i dont like the fact that he clinched as many times as he did

It's luck of the draw. I'm not sure how many fighters go into a fight having researched the ref and judges.

The judges probably gave more value to a kd for Hatton than Collazo hurting him in the last round. They could have also preferred Hattons aggression.

It was a close fight that generally people should say it could have gone either way but for me the kd proved pivotal.

    1 10-8
    2 9-10 (VERY tight)
    3 10-9
    4 10-9 (tight)
    5 9-10
    6 9-10
    7 10-9
    8 10-9
    9 10-9 (tight)
    10 9-10
    11 10-9
    12 9-10

    115-112 Hatton

I have managed to give Hatton round 4 which seems to go against the grain, will watch that again

Other than that I agreed with Lederman's card 100% (I scored mine before he gave his verdicts)

Round 2 was so tight it was ridiculous but I always award one way or the other - simply because the judges seem to do the same

Better fight than I remembered, Collazo did less clean work than I remembered, Hatton lasted better than I remebered although he got sloppy and his strength faded, referee was excellent.

Edit: Rewatched 4. Very tight. Collazo did the cleaner work, Hatton did a bit more, just a very tight round. I'll stick with a Hatton round out of bloody mindedness.
