Yes, good suggestions. I would prefer an older one next, though. As I said before, I think we should alternate each week by scoring one 'recent' fight and then one 'classic' one to keep it interesting. Chacon - Boza-Edwards II next week and then JMM-Pac II?:think

:shock:Very nice. I've got to get in with this career-set trading scheme that others partake in on here. I've only got one full career set (Benn) and all of the others I have are fragmented with fights missing:conf.

117-113 Martinez. Gave rounds 1-3 and 8-11 to Martinez for landing the better, harder punches. Williams was just flinging his arms around and his shots rarely had much impact.

Gave rounds 5,6 and 7 to Williams for controlling the pace and landing more often.

Rounds 4 and 12 I had as a draw. Martinez was winning round 4 until Williams hit him with the best punch of the round and it was Martinez wasn't winning by much, but was still doing the better work overall.

Round 12 because Williams was bossing it, but Martinez was landing better shots still.

That's the second time I've watched it in the last month and I really think Martinez was beating the **** out of Williams.

    116-114 Martinez.

I watched the HBO feed and even some of the "experts" want to score the double knockdown rounds as 9-9....:patsch

Dave Paris' 119-110 card for Williams was a shocker.

    So, who's next Losfer?

We start a new one this weekend, don't we?

I'd be happy with Pac-Marquez II, which has already been mentioned.

If you are wanting to go a bit more old school, I'd propose: Pernell Whitaker v Oscar De La Hoya.

Had it to a point to Sergio last time I watched it as well, although I'm sure some of the rounds were different. Really is the definition of an even fight though, I think its so hard to seperate them despite the one sided nature of the scores so far. I don't think its controversial that Williams got the win, only the pathetic 119-110 scorecard.

Lets all hope the rematch comes off :happy

I'd like an excuse to watch Hops and Calzaghe again but, D-Mac is probably right, it could well kill this thread before its really got started.
