It seems the swing rounds in this one are the 1st, 7th and 11th - I scored two of them even and one to Marquez.

The clearest rounds of the fight for me are the 6th, 10th and 12th - anybody scoring them other than Marquez, Pacquiao, Marquez needs help

I've gone over the reasons I think Pac would win before. Firstly, Pac would not have to struggle to make weight this time, and you can see the difference this has made. He was taking full blooded shots from Cotto and didn't go down. Secondly, Pac is a completely different fighter now. He fights with two hands, is more difficult to hit, doesn't throw himself off balance as much as he used to, has power in both hands, fights smarter and looks at home in the higher weights. As for his power, well he had no problems knocking Cotto on his ass, and then stopped him. Marquez may not have been knocked out but he's been knocked down by Pac, and eventually even he would be stopped IMO.

People might be under-rating Marquez at the other weights because of Floyd but it's still clear that even lightweight is not his best weight. He's effective as a lightweight but super-feather is his best weight. It's not the fact that Floyd beat him at 147, it's the fact that Marquez looked slow as hell, and bloated. He never even had a chance. Pac on the other hand looks a lot more natural at the higher weights. I believe he's lost some speed at 147 but nothing compared to how Marquez looked at 147.

Beeston, if Marquez really wanted to fight Pac, he would've done it in March this year. Instead Marquez apparently asked for a 50/50 split and olympic style testing. No matter, if the Floyd fight doesn't come off Marquez may get his trilogy and this time Pac will leave no doubt.

As for the Margarito catchweight, what's the problem? The catchweight is a much more comfortable weight for Margarito than 147, and it's a much more comfortable weight for Marg than it is for Pac. Would you rather Magarito struggle to get down to 147? Cotto weighed in at 146 for Clottey so one pound under didn't make the slightest difference. You just mad cuz of the belts being on the line. Well, two things. One, if it's in the rules it's in the rules. Two, belts don't mean **** anyway, only opponents matter. A 147 pound Margarito is less of a challenge than a 152 pound Margarito, Yet people would have no problem if Pac fought Margarito at 147. Whether he has 15 belts or 0, who gives a ****? Look at the opponents.

    114-113 Paquiao.
I think Paquiao should have been credited with a second knockdown in the third round. Marquez would have gone but for the ropes.
I find this a pretty straight forward fight to score. Dissapointed with who wins though

    I'm gonna score this tonight.

Unfortunately the presentation of my scorecard will look distinctly average when compared to the above.

    Round 11: 10-9 Marquez
    Round 12: 10-9 Marquez

Juan Manuel Marquez 114 - 114 Manny Pacquiao

    DRAW

Too close to call this one, which is surprising when you take into account that I had Marquez pissing it when I was watching it live through the beer goggles.

The kd costs Marquez the win in my book. Good back and forth action throughout though, and on my scorecard no one could gain the ascendancy for more than two rounds at a time.

    Excellent stuff.:good

I think I had several heated arguments with posters over in the General Forum, arguing the point that "Marquez won every round after the knockdown occured":nut:D

    114-113 Juan Manuel Marquez

Very close fight and I really enjoyed watching it. Round 7 looks to be the swing round, judging by people's scorecards. I felt that JMM's crisp, hard counters won it out for him.....just.
