I think a week is plenty of time. We should keep the ball rolling and move on to the next fight. I'm happy with Martinez-Williams, I scored it about a week ago and have already posted it on the second page (I think)

A few more days and the current fight will be pulled, so if you still want to score it, you'd better hurry up. Also, Williams-Martinez is the next fight that will be posted, so if anyone has any objections please say so now. Cheers:banana.

How about a week in future though Los? Godfather is right IMHO, most people who
want to score it will manage it in the first week and it keeps the thread active.

Yeah, I think that's probably the best bet now as most of the people who have participated scored it in the first week of the thread. As of Saturday morning, it shall change to one a week.

Bloody watched this the other day as well, didn't realise that we had a huge thread on scoring it

I remember thinking it was a very hard fight to score, I think I had leonard edging it by about a point or two but I can see why people would edge to Hagler. Wish I had done it round by round having seen this thread :verysad

TFFP used to update a thread just like it, but he hasn't got the time to run the thread any more. The plan is to get everyone to score a historically close/controversial fight and then to find out how the forum as a whole ended up scoring the fight. I originally thought it would be best to update the thread every fortnight, but after the feedback I have got off of Godfather and Gaz I shall now be updating it weekly. I'll add the scores during every weekend (**** adding them up on a weeknight after work).

All you have to do is post your score for each round and your overall scorecard for the fight as well, mate:good.

You seriously thought that Hagler didn't win rounds 5 and 9 :huh he lands the harder shots by far in that round...

Apologies, I'm not gonna get time to do a round by round, but I have scored it before and am pretty sure I gave it Hagler by a point

Why pull mine up...others scored these rounds even or to Leonard :yep

Although Hagler landed the best punch of the round in the 5th and landed more punches than he had in the previous rounds, I felt Leonard did enough in the first half of the round to win it closely.

Hagler did land the better shots in the 9th, especially in the first minute, but I felt Leonard came back well for the rest of the round with his flurries that were getting through to share the round. If I was pushed, then I would give it to Hagler though.

115-113 Leonard. Leonard looked like the career middleweight in there I think. Wonder if his head had grown in them years off :D
People always say if Hagler fought the first 2 rounds southpaw he wins but I aint so sure. The way Leonard started the fight, moving around so much, I dont think Hagler catches him too much even as a southpaw. Never know though.
Got to give Leonard credit for his finish. He seemed tired from about the 5yh or 6th onwards but managed to get it together.
My suggestion for the next fight is Johnny Tapia- Paulie Ayala 1
