    Apparently Williams has turned down $1.5million for the rematch, that would be a career high purse.

    I think when I watched it live I had Williams by a point. My view on the fight changes every time I watch it. The more I watch it, the more I think Martinez did enough and landed the more significant blows.

    Indeed. There are a hell of a lot of swing rounds and then it just comes down to what you prefer. Either of the rounds I scored even could have went either way; if they had gone the way of Williams, I'd have had a draw as well. They get a hell of a lot of stick, but I really wouldn't want to be a judge when it comes to scoring fights like this.

    As much as Pierre Bonist gets a lot of stick for his 119-1109 scorecard, like you say there are a lot of swing rounds and it is possible that he genuinely felt that Williams just happened to win all of them. In this sort of fight it is no surprise to see a huge disparity in the scoring.

    I give them all the time.

    If a round is even, it's even.

    But also I give plenty of 10-8's without a KD - mainly because I think KD's are overrated.

    So what, you deck a guy..... is that better than hurting an opponent badly but not managing to get rid of him?

    Hatton vs Collazo round 12 was a 10-8, as was Hatton vs Mayweather round 8.

    In all seriousness, Rob, I used to be exactly the same. Then I realised that by being so stubborn, I was actually depriving someone who performed equally as well in a round an all-important point. If you have the frame of mind where you are set on giving points to only one of the fighters, I think you are actually giving away points for the sake of it.

    To each his own, though. The interesting thing about threads like this is you get an idea of how other people score differently to yourself. It's an interesting insight.

    see i dont see a problem with scoring even rounds because if you didnt you may score 6 very close rounds to one fighter and score the other 6 to the other of which he completly dominated them and won comfortably, so you'd have the fight a draw when overall there was only one person who dominated the majority of it., i know a fight is unlikly to go that way but you get the jist
