The Niida performance was great but as Mac said Gonzales was held to a MD in his last fight. He's fighting some decent Japanese guy next month.

It was a great finale to that fight.

It was in Niida's hometown, Niida was No.1 in the division, Niida was fighting for pride, and he tried to throw the punches in bunches and put Gonzalez on the back foot, but just couldn't because Gonzalez was all over him like flies on ****.

Gonzalez was dinamite in that fight; I just wonder what happend to him last time out; a majority decision really isn't his style.

Yeah defo not his style. But I can't find any footage of it and being such a small guy he doesn't get much exposure. But he's fighting again soon and I'm hoping for some more fireworks. He's an exciting fighter. Some mean left hooks and uppercuts, especially leading up to the stoppage against Niida.

He is in the smallest weight division, and one of the least talented divisions, but he looks like he has the frame to go up a couple (quite tall and wirey for Straweight).

I really hope he pushes on in the next couple of years.

Yeah he is gonna need to move on up. The division above is pretty decent talent wise with Calderon, Solis etc. Unless by some chance he can unify titles at straw, which I doubt will happen, he should throw himself into the mixer there at light fly.
