It was a tongue in cheek response to the English tabloid headlines. It seemed to have went over your head. The caption underneath the title made that obvious:

"Greatest tie against the British since Bunker Hill"

 

Couple of points:

1. Football in the US predates Soccer in the US and was based in part on English football, which was invented only six years earlier and wasn't played in another other country yet. So we couldn't have called Soccer Football if we already had football, could we?

2. That headline is clearly tongue-in-cheek. Usually Brits are masters at picking up on that. I'm slightly disappointed you haven't.

It's all about perception and opinion. People who like Haye will say that Klitschko is the ducker. People who like Klitschko will say the Haye is the ducker...why are people outraged and shocked by this?
