Brit press at it again: "Klitschkos seem to be avoiding Haye"

Any nation that buys a fight where Audley Harrison is the red corner is by definition delusional. If Haye vs. Audley does big business in the UK, the Brits are a crazy as a shithouse rat.

 

You're absolutely right. It is all abut perception and opinion. Take the Bowe vs. Lewis fiascoes. History remembers one thing: Bowe threw out his belt and that proved that he was ducking Lewis. It didn't even matter that Lewis did the exact same thing later in his career by throwing out one of his belts WBA because he didn't want to fight John Ruiz. In the end, people concluded that Bowe wanted nothing to do with Lewis and that he had ducked him. That is exactly what they are doing with Haye now. In spite of a few ardent fans, about 90 percent of people think that Haye is ducking Wlad. And if they never fight, that perception will be come a matter of historical record, just as it did with Lewis and Bowe.

 

I hope Wladimir vs Haye will happen.

So, according to you it is perfectly reasonable for a world champion (note the word "world" champion) to defend his "world" title against the second-best fighter in his nation even if that fighter is a 38-year-old C-level fighter who never beat a top 20 contender. You might have a valid point if you didn't defend Vitali fighting Sosnowski.

 

I wouldn't defend that fight because I didn't like it. However, you're missing something upstairs if you can't see the differences between the two defenses. First, Vitali is an old man who fought 4 fights in 16 months. Haye is 29 and he's fought two times in that same amoutn of time. Second, Vitali actually tried to make a legit fight with Valuev, but the caveman ran. Third, Haye is new to the heavyweight game and he's supposed to take fights that can help him improve, right. Audley can't do that for him.

 

So it's acceptable for Vitali to rake in the money by fighting a bum but it's not acceptable for Haye? Were the people that paid to watch a fight where Albert Sosnowski is in the red corner delusional? Since Vitali vs Sosnowski attracted an attendance of 60,000, does that make Germans as crazy as a shithouse rat?

 

Did you not read what I wrote? I didn't like the fight. I thought it was lousy. But to answer your question, yes. Vitali has earned the right to have a throwaway fight...Haye has not. Not only is Vitali at the end of his career, but he also fights twice as often as Haye. For Haye to waste 8 months of his prime on a fight against Audely Harrison is indefensible. I know that and you know that, so why don't you stop arguing?
