Britain's youngest heavyweight 19-year-old Jay Carrigan-McFarlane loses on Golovkin undercard

He was literally fighting white collar fights a short time ago, bizarre he was ever on this card tbh.

 

I'm not shocked, don't care how talented the guy is he is not a heavyweight at all. He's so fat and soft, literally no muscle on him. He literally looks like Stacey's tranny brother on Eastenders. The guy looks like he has the physicality of a welterweight and that's why he'll never make it.

 

Who said he was talented?

Danny had said he thought the coverage was indicative of talent, bit of a difference.

Hes clearly limited and like I said it's a very odd one for him to have been included in such a card.

 

I just saw one of Jays previous wins on youtube, and the guy he was fighting had a C cup and looked like someone that had been dragged off working the doors at a nightclub.

Well people lead to this impression because Jay himself, said a couple months back on IFL TV that he would beat most domestic heavyweights and continually boasts about being the youngest Heavyweight.

But I agree with CutThroatfade. He shouldnt be a heavyweight at all. Similar circumstance to that Irish fighter Sean Turner, I think he calls himself 'Big sexy boxer'. When in reality he is just fat. Harsh but true.

It seems lately more boxers are just getting lazy when it comes to their weight.

But one thing I will say is, how on earth he got on this card is absoultely beyond me. He literally was a white collar fighter who got a pro license, fights in 2 scottish school sports halls, and somehow gets on the undercard of one of the biggest fights of the year at madison square gardens. Quite astonishing.

 

Well I wasn't aware of that mate, if that's the case then he's at it lol. What is this obsession they have with " youngest heavyweight" aswell? Means nothing if your not very good.

Half that mtk stable in Scotland are ex white collar fighters, I literally cannot believe people continually pay to attend the events they put on. The standard on show is very poor and all the fights are shockingly matched.

I totally agree that it's unbelievable they managed to get him on that show, do they actually think he is going to be the next big thing? If so they are in the wrong game.

 

He looked terrible in every imaginable way and the guy he fought was awful. It was painful to watch. He's going nowhere and should probably consider calling it a day as his wellbeing could be seriously jeopardised against quality opponents.

Was he that fat guy? The HW fight I saw was AWFUL. They really scraped the bottom of the barrel with those two.
