Katie Taylor just beat Chanelle Cameron 28-10. Not a bad performance from the young Brit. If she can get the other side of the draw to Taylor in London she could be a medal for ye
Yes, I agree. Was a fine performance by Cameron - watched it live online, as well as all of Taylor's fights and those of the British and rest of the Irish team. Taylor was superb in her last two fights. The standard of women's boxing is improving all the time and the quality will surprise many in London 2012. Cameron though may NOT be the British representative as they have 4 in their 60kg squad inc Tasha Jonas who won gold at 64kg in Poland yesterday. Also Amanda Coulson and Ruth Raper. Fair dues to the Polish boxing website bokser.org they covered all of the fights live (Polish commentary of course) and I've asked if they could add the Taylor fights against Cameron + Graczyk to either their own website or You Tube when time permits. As always got very little media coverage in Britain or in Ireland sadly apart from sportsnewsireland.com and the iaba website and "deferred" coverage on the english abae and gb boxing sites. lots of photos from the tournament where Taylor was awarded the "Presidents Trophy" as boxer of the tournament here via this link http://www.bokser.org/content/2011/06/04/161618/index.jsp =Tommy O C;9815765]Katie Taylor just beat Chanelle Cameron 28-10.
