That cruiserweight tournament is unreal. The main events will destroy 90% of cards Frank and Eddie will put on there’s no comparison.

British beef had a much better undercard though. One which is getting forgotten about a bit too quickly because of a dire main event.

No it didn't, you had world level fighters like Vlasov vs Durodula fighting as well as Chudinov

    Levels really

I watched the entire WBSS card.

The Aloyan, Vlasov fights and the main event between Gassiev and Dorticos were world class fights, better than anything on the British beef card.

What you are talking about with the British beef card was a British card full of British level fighers or British novices on the way up. Unless you were taken in by the hype you would watch the best fights from British beef recorded after the WBSS card.

Vlasov decent fighter, never gona be world champion and Durodula fringe level.
    Chudinov fighting world #256.

I’d rather watch Cheeseman step up. Felix Cash looked decent and Buatsi excellent.

I’d much rather watch the best up and coming talent from our shores than some no mark European level fighters.

Vlasov could definitely pick something up if the finalist heads to heavyweight.

Chudinov still a very high level fighter.

I'd take ITV hands down tbh, WBSS always delivers

Chudinov is not a high level fighter. He was dismantled by Groves with absolute ease.

The WBSS is a fantastic tournament in both weights but you don’t have to make stuff up about the undercard being great when to be honest the majority of the tournament the undercards have been pony.

Cool story bro, you do know he broke Groves jaw?

He didn't even go down too, he was stopped standing and Groves was looking mighty bloody stuffed. I actually thought Chudinov could have come back if he was given a chance.

Aloyan vs Espinoza was a world level fight too.

Vlasov is top 8 at CW on that result and recent ones without a doubt and that makes him world class.

The Chudinov fight was not a good one on the undercard hence I didnt bring it up.

He was up against a fleshy finnish bum, who he hit with everything he had but he couldnt stop, and needed the corner to pull him out to get the stoppage.

Chudinov looks way off world level. He actually needs to boil down to a lower weight class and then he might be able to compete at a higher level

I was switching between the two undercards, but with the main events starting at pretty much the same time, I watched British Beef live and watched the WBSS on itv4 plus 1. By the time Okolie/Chamberlain finished, Gassiev and Dorticos were in the ring (on itv4 plus one).

    Undercard fights I watched:

Aloyan vs Espinoza - I had Espinoza by 1, but decent close fight.

Chudinov vs Laine - I thought Chudinov broke him down quite well, but, going off this fight, unsure how far he go at current weight.

Cheeseman vs Jones - Big step up in class for Cheeseman and although he took some big punches himself, I thought he came through it well against a tough Jones. I had it wide in the end, but great experience for Cheeseman going forward.

Main events - One was contender for fight of the year and the other for worst fight of the year. They were so far apart in terms of quality/entertainment value that I don't need to say which one is which.

In hindsight, I should of just watched the WBSS and not bothered with the Matchroom show. It's my own fault for buying into the whole "British beef" thing. I won't be falling for that again. (I probably will)

I saw bits of other fights, but only commented on the full fights I saw.

Was watching both but focussing on the WBSS as I knew Eh Day's British Beef was more like rotten beef after looking at the match ups.

It was another canfest and sad that some records for the opponents are so bad, they don't announce to the fans/viewers.

Did not rate O'Toly pre fight and this Chamberlain fued another piece of Eh Day scripted acting.

Eh Day is his name, fleecing PPV and ticket buyers is his game.
