only counting the fully british blood fighters, so degale, froch, brook and haye dont count because they only have one british parent. which are better?

    irish:
matt macklin, frankie gavin, carl frampton, tyson fury, brian magee, paul mcloskey, dean byrne, jamie kavangah, andy lee.

    british:
kevin mitchell, george groves, darren barker, david price, nathan cleverly, ricky burns, tony bellew, john murray,. jamie mcdonnell.

for me the irish have more quality fighters.

:D Nice move there removing Brook, Haye, and Froch. Its those 3 and Khan that have currently made England a force. Ive always respected Irish fighters they the Mexican Europeans, but kinda been in a slump until recently. Fury and Gavin look the most promising to me tho if Lee starts listening to his corner more and strictly fight behind a jab he might get alot farther. Lees fun to watch, but Ive seen his interviews and seems hes serious about his career and Im sure he wants to be more than just a popular action packed fighter and more a world beater eye to eye with Maravilla. Khan can improve so can Lee, but clock is ticking for Lee. As for what group I think is better, remove Haye, Brook, and Froch, I like the Irish, but put those 3 back Ill have to side with the English.

yeah the irish seem to be tough guys, if you compare irish vs just english they dont even compare..... yeah gavin looks good but to be honest i think rampton is the best irish prospect! he reminds me of a young morales at times, pluss jamie kavangah looks like a real prospect too.

i suppose irish are more celtic and less Scandinavian and roman. obviously they were isolated from the roman empire so havnt had as many different mixesin race over the years.

i know its a daft thread but there a lot of good irish fighters compared to english scottish and welsh.

ok what i mean is irish opeople are genetically dierent to people in ireland, scotland wales and england. they're more shut off from immigration over the years so they're more celtic than people in england. seem to produce more fighters.

How many 'full blooded' Irish people do you think there are? Bearing in mind the British were in Ireland for 800 years laying more pipe than Thames Water.

Well English fighters are known for there glass jaws, and I think the Irish could take better punches then the English. Therefore Ireland KO's England Round 1.
