Yes there's the tell tale signs, not stringing words cleanly and almost humming through them. Time to hang them up and do something else.
Honestly not completely sure. It does sound like it at times, but i’m not sure if it is just because I am looking for it, now you have pointed it out. I have listened to quite a few of his interviews, but would have to go back and watch a old one again to be sure.
He's taken loads of punishment, doesn't bode well for the future.Needs to get out of the sport now imo as he's always gonna end up taking shots as that's just how he his.
Yes. Sounded very punchy in interview the day after the Price fight, and he does here too. He's only 26 and I fear for his health if he boxes on much longer...
Semtex? In other news, I've heard Quigg was filmed tonight walking from his house to Gigg Lane, in a full Bury kit....
Did you ever see the testicular cancer awareness advert Quigg did? Admirable but funny none the less.
Me either I'm not trying to be mean I like Allen & usually root for him to win. I was just listening to him here & some parts he just sounded different. Maybe just woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Not sure but he's taken a lot of punishment and has clearly found his level. Hanging the gloves up wouldn't be a bad idea.
Agree. Never 100% sure as soon as someone brings it up. Said on a previous post that he should pack it in soon, preferebly sooner rather than later and try to get a little number behind the scenes at MR or Sky. Hook the boy up, Edward!
He sounds the same as he's done in his past few interviews. No massive deterioration or lack of sharpness, wandering etc. He's a bit of a slurrer, but that's partly the way he speaks I think, coupled with his tongue issues (split tongue from Ortiz fight). He needs to retire soon, though, as he takes far too much punishment in pretty much every single fight. Whether or not he's punch drunk right now he will be soon at that rate.
