    4. Carl Froch

I like to rank fighters based win there achievments. I divide fighters into 4 classes. A (top ranked fighters) B (contenders), C (gatekeepers) and others (journeyman)

Froch has 3 wins over A class opponents - Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell. Below that level he had KO wins over Tatevoyion and Magee, neither had been stopped before. His only loss is to Kessler and it was a close fight.

Dirrell has only 1 A class win agaisnt Abraham. Abraham has only 1 as class win and thats against Taylor, who Froch has already stopped. Also Dirrell lost to Froch, and Abraham lost to Dirrell, and it was in the last 8 months so you have to rank them in that order.

Khan, Haye and Froch are all top 5 in there division. Nobody can doubt this. Maybe Macklin is top 5 but thats due to it being a weak division.

    Abraham.

However, if he beats Froch then he goes into the top 5 and Carl drops out.

    It's debatable IMO.

Ward would probably school Froch, Kessler has beaten him without any controversy, Dirrell has beaten him unoficially IMO and would likely beat him without any controversy in a rematch, and I think Abraham could knock him out. Bute, I don't know.

I would certainly say Ward, Dirrell and Kessler are better than Froch. You could take out Abraham but not the other 3.

I like to rank on results where possible and Froch has a win over Dirrell, I know its a contraversial win but its still a win. If you are second guessing close decisions like that then you can argue that Froch beat Kessler and should be above him (thats not my opinion BTW).

Unless the decision was a shocker or some kind of foul play was involved I prefer to let results stand when ranking boxers.

    just my 2p....

As crazy as it sounds, you could conceivably have Munroe in the top 5 at Super Bantamweight.

we are not talking about who you think would win. rankings need to be based on actual results and Froch has better wins at super middle than dirrell and abraham. this cannot be debated.

Kesslers win over Froch is as debatable as Frochs win over Dirrell.
