The British Boxing Board of Control will investigate the scoring in Josh Taylor's split decision win over Jack Catterall on Saturday.

The BBBoC said it "will be investigating the scoring of this contest and will advise accordingly".

The board does not have the power to overturn the result.

Still unbeaten, Taylor has suggested the bout will be his last at light-welterweight.

    Exactly!!!
It gives me no joy in saying this as I am both Scottish and a Josh Taylor fan...

I wish boxers could sue the boards and these corrupt, inept officials...
Maybe if a few of these cockksuckers were made bankrupt, we would get a better pool of officials or the current crop of useless pricks would pay more attention...

It’s the same pool of 5 or 6 incompetent ****ts that have been continually ****king up boxing for years with no repercussions.

To me, this is no different than robbing someone at gunpoint. In fact, it’s worse...
These pricks have just cost Catterall millions in potential earnings...

****k Robert Smith and the BBB of C.
He allows this **** to stand time and again so he is just as corrupt.
****k all will come of this “investigation”.

Ian John Lewis should never be allowed to step inside a club hall never mind judge fights.
He is nothing but a spunk stain on the boxer shorts of life.

****king shoot me now. I’m beginning to sound like Teddy Atlas...

    Totally agree but,

Nothing will happen as Smith,Foster,IJL & especially Terry O' Connor have been robbing fighters of well deserved victories for years & they'll NEVER willingly step down as they won't want to give up the gravy train of free hotels, meals, expenses & not forgetting brown envelopes!

These parasites should be forcibly removed from their positions & if Taylor is going to vacate & move up then if the governing bodies had any integrity, they should award the titles to Jack Catterall which he earned from his performance against Taylor but was thoroughly cheated by corrupt judges!

British boxing board investigate a competitive fight where you can absolutely have Taylor winning ( I didn't but there is definitely a case for him) but no boxing organisation even consider investigating the farce of blatant fixed fights in Kovalev vs Canelo and Yildrim vs Canelo.

Zero morals circus show of a sport

If Taylor was English this wouldn't happen.

I was coming here to make that exact point.

And still, this has happened hundreds of times since I started watching boxing. And only in a couple cases half matters were taken.
Also 10 years from now Taylor won and Catteral lost, and would probably be remembered as a could have been, instead of a former undisputed champ with many millions in the bank.
