I am slowly getting the site finished for the HOF as the legal wheels are turning slowly and I still haven't got anything back from the BBBofC. Funding is in place though.

In the meantime I am looking for contributors to write boxer biographies and articles for the site. Quality is absolutely critical but if anyone would like to help I would be really grateful.

    Site Work in Progress -

What fighters require bios? I'm willing, but not 100% certain I'm up to the job

Where did you get funding from? (If you don't mind me asking)

I will be willing to help you with that, although I would be best suited to writing about fighters from the 90's onwards :good

Funding is split - part government/grants and part private investment from the organisations listed on the frontpage.

Greg, Fleaman and Kosaros - all contributions are welcome from any era but you should make sure that you aren't working on the same bios. I will of course credit you all and send you VIP tickets to the gala opening when it happens. I will also love you all 4ever.

If you give us a list of fighters to do bio's for, well I could start research for bio's tomorrow.

Thanks Guy. It's early days yet and content is key.

I am trying to produce an interactive timeline for British Boxing at the moment and there is loads of other stuff to do.

I have asked Boxrec to get in on the act and maybe share their database with the HOF so we can have a research section on the site along with geneaological tools.

I'll do some bios if I can do some shameless self promotion of my company and it's services :D

;)The timeline sounds good but wouldn't boxrec feel threatened that you were giving access to their data wihout actually visiting their site?

I want to collaborate with Boxrec. My aim is to create a research centre within the museum with extensive archives of British boxers sourced from ex-boxers, various associations and museums.

I want to provide Boxrec with info for their database and work closely with them.

Sounds complicated but I suppose once you've got the data and structure established then life becomes simpler later on just adding to whats already there
