Think you're probably right Jim. We go through spells where we unearth particular weight class talents in bunches - 30 years ago it was middle / supper-middle. I guess you could say there's maybe something in light-heavy just now but none of them are getting any younger.

Heavyweight division is rotten beneath a handful of top-end boxers though, not just the Brits. There's just no obvious dominant fighters coming through.

Don't worry Jim, after AJ and Tyson are long gone. We will still have Dubois and Hughie who will be world champions and Eddie will push Johnny Bosh more. Still good times ahead

It would be interesting to see how the heavyweight landscape would look in 2022 had there not been the pandemic. You’d have to imagine the top 5 would all of had a couple more fights in their careers and that undisputed would have happened by now..

Even in two or three years when AJ, Fury, Joyce and Whyte retire it wouldn't be the end of British era. Would they be as good? Probably not.

Dubois, Wardley and Hughie have potential to be decent although doubt AJ or Fury level.

Jalolov will taken over the divison around then from Usyk.

Yeah I think so, everything seems to take so long and aside from Fury, Usyk, Wilder and Joshua I only see Joe Joyce really doing anything, there's lots of dross hanging around getting in the way like Helenius, Charr, Chisora, Pulev, Whyte etc. It's a shame and I know it's always been like this to a degree but there's a lot of hyped guy's coming up who I don't think are going to do anything. Hrgovic is another, he looked awful for the hype he's had.

there are other tough men about maybe not the best but what about bakolle or hunter or the young american guy every era is the same there are a few top boxers and a drop off some are over rated agree on hrgovic although he is not crap but not the next top dog that i am certain of
