Foster vs Finnegan should be mandatory viewing for any so-called boxing fan.

Sounds a good series this, although sadly some of our best fighters won't get an airing due to lack of footage.

Frankham looked like a proper bare-knuckle fighter - not a brawler from a door, but a stylish 19th Century boxer. It was fantastic to watch his poise and balance and stance.

Good stuff, I like Magri the fight with Lacier is a good one and earl in both guys careers, its not being shown is it?

J Driscoll should be mandotory for any boxing fan, the most impressive boxer ever.

 

With a name like Frankham I would expect nothing else, it will have been ingrained in him since birth...great series BTW :good

Tonight (Mon 21st) at 11:05pm British Boxing Heroes is back on ESPN Classic. It's Chris Finnegan v Bob Foster tonight - Ring magazine fight of the year; it was sandwiched between The Fight of the Century and The Sunshine Showdown, by the way. What a night and what a fight.

Enjoy it.

But seriously watching Driscoll is very impressive, I aint watched him in a while might watch him and break him down, why he is impressive.

The running time is excellent for the existing boxing fans and defo long enough to wet the whistle of the boxing converts...:yep

Loved watching Franky v Finnegan and Woodhall v Branco...:yep

This needs to be on the box regularly, there are so many stories to tell about of boxing legends that need to be aired...:yep

I would love to see a documentary on the late great Phil Martin from the Champs Camp, he beat Franky over 10 at Belle Vue...:yep

 

He is one of the most impressive boxers I have seen.

They all impressed me alot.

 

he makes a lot mistake to though, he over reaches a lot of the times which leaves him open and he also leaves he chin up in the air ( watch fight with Frank Robson )

 

It's Lloyd Honeyghan tonight - winning and losing and entertaining. It's British Boxing Heroes on ESPN Classic at 11:05pm. It's a great night. Lloyd, by the way, was one of only two British boxers who refused to support the campaign last year. He had an attack of the Gordon Ramsay's when he was asked! I've never said a bad word about him!
