You know your boxing, but I do think this post smacks of the tendency to overrate past fighters and underrate current ones. I say this being old enough to remember those guys in the nineties being adversely compared to their peers in the seventies, doubtless the same thing was happening back then too.

Would Tyson, Holyfield and Lewis have prevailed against the current top 3? Maybe, but with no problem? You think the physical challenge posed by extremely fit 6'6 guys with reach advantage and modern sports science behind them would be so easily disposed of? I'm not so sure.

For instance just take Lewis who I regard as the pick of that era and a decent shout for ATG status. We know that he could get caught and we know that both AJ and Wilder can finish a guy in one or two punches. So you would have to give them a chance in a fight with him...

So you have Wilder below Ortiz and Fury and Parker and Whyte?

Wilder had Fury and Ortiz on the floor close to a half-dozen times combined.

    You're a clown.

He knows his boxing? But he left out Deontay Wilder from the current top five? Whatever man.

I forgot to mention him, you spastic.

Besides, Ike would eat him alive, Cautious Lewis dissects him & the Bros. do a number on him.

    Happy, Mr muppet?

Because of the stupid PPV price over there plus they’d get UK PPV’s on top of it. You’d be looking at close to 1 million buys at $99 id imagine and maybe more. Plus 1 million (conservative because of time of event) at £20. Then ticket sales it would generate in somewhere like Vegas.

I think for it to have to work in favour of the UK they’d have to do it at £50 a pop and aim for 2 million buys.

Fury may not want it here either. May see UK as AJ territory these days.

Boxthing's biggest best night Tony Dosh PPV v Wladimir Klitschko aged 41 at Wembley Stadium will never be exceeded on UK soil.

There's nothing wrong with it being in the USA.
Or anywhere else in the world.

I doubt there's much difference in gate between 20k at MSG and 90k at Wembley with the amount of £40 and £60 tickets

I'm not saying it's wrong, but I am saying that it would be preferable if it could be held in the UK in front of the boxers home crowds giving the maximum number of fans possible a chance to witness it.
