well done, this is very funny. Someone want to bring it to Buncey's attention? I'm interested in hounding him, just like to see what his take now is
You are desperate You and chemist can you not be pleased that its working You are a boxing fan I take it or are you on here for another reason
Its not working. You look at the shows and only see that. Look a bit deeper. The business model doesn't work.
Until we know the hard facts about subscriber numbers then it's incredibly difficult to judge how well Boxnation are doing. 100k subscribers was the break even point mooted at launch. On the good (or some might say bad) side the channel's costs are reduced from what they were as they barely show domestic cards anymore. On the bad side they are hardly shouting their subscriber numbers from the rooftops which suggests they have 50-75k subscribers tops. Boxnation will carry on in some form medium term but past that the format will fizzle out.
Well I for one am enjoying it and a lot of lads at the gym are subscribers also. I'm more than happy trying to support a channel that is trying in very difficult circumstances to produce a dedicated boxing channel. Sure it has issues but I got, for one example, to see Floyd v Guerrero live when it cost the yanks $69 alone, I've also seen many world title fights in the last 12 months. My biggest gripe is the current lack of small hall shows. LoadedTV have recently shown a few, it doesn't effect ticket sales and it gives the fighters and promoter much needed exposure. Also the true fans who can't make it to some of the national smaller shows can get to see many of the pro lads starting out. The smaller shows are the sports lifeblood and this is less complicated to negotiate as the smaller promoters would love exposure.
Forget LoadedTV, apparently they've this week pulled out of showing live boxing shows. Their coverage was absolutely bobbins anyway. They attended the two Rainton Meadows shows and cocked everything up from the start. The first Dickinson v Dolan show had "technical" problems so they missed the whole undercard. They did eventually show it in parts over the next few weeks at least. As for the second show for the Dickinson v Stafford British Cruiser title, that was even worse. The footage was unwatchable due to extreme ghosting of the cameras if the fighter's moved! Even worse the idiots cut to adverts halfway through a round rather than at the end of a round! To top it all their footage ended and some crap programme started as the Chris Bennett v Billy Smith fight went into the last round! It was a nice idea for them to show regional local pro boxing but they couldn't organise a pissup in a brewery. The whole channel is worse than the numerous other recently failed "lad's" channels and will soon sink without trace. BNation need to take the idea and do it properly.
They have had some quality stuff on recently. OK, they don't do the weekly domestic shows like they did at the start, but the fans moaned about them anyway. What's your prediction for how long the channel lasts?
BoxNation has 200k subscribers, Huge fan base. That's why Frank released ricky bums and george gravy as he wants to focus on BoxNation
