No, I don't think so. BJS more whitty, quicker in response, charismatic. Fury comes across more rambling and David Brent lik3 and has the same remarks he uses repeatedly.

 

Billy Joe is a great trash talker if you like hearing the words "listen", "lemme tell you summin" and "100%" every other second.

 

This comment removed his cerebral wig and, thus, went over his head...

 

Biggest Fury hater on this board since Infern0141. He seriously suggested Alen Babic would beat Wilder ffs to try and detract from Fury’s win. Beyond parody.

 

He's persistent is our mitch I'll give him that.

 

It’s unreal really, the entire goal behind the constant obsessive criticism of Wilder is to detract from Fury’s win. Amazing dedication.

 

He's already got a better resume than Billy.

 

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury are likeable.
They have a lot of haters but i don't really get it.

Someone like Saunders sometimes comes across a complete **** though, obviously, even though he's sometimes funny.
Froch is a **** too.
Same with Bellew.

 

Although I like Saunders, I can't agree with any of this.

Do you even know who David Brent is? Fury is the absolute antithesis of Brent-like.

I can only ever see Joshua being likeable (in personality) to people who are easily duped by commercial marketing and sales persuasion in other aspects of life. He comes across as ridiculously false and corny. People who like Joshua probably like other things like "Celebrity Juice" (if that still exists), Jonathan Ross Show and all of that sort of thing.

 

Not on a wind. Both have desperate a need to be liked. Both make unfunny, cringe jokes that followed by awkward silence in interviews.

I just don't see how somone repeatly saying "dosser" and "body builder " is funnier and better trash talker than Saunders who more whitty, quicker, original and gets personal.

I can agree with you on most of your points here, Mitch.

I used to really like Fury's personality, and watched him from his ITV4 (I think) debut. Following his comeback and particularly after Wilder I, he's been insufferable at times.

 

He's just a person who's been put in the position of being a celebrity though. He just happens to be good at punching people in the head and looks good on advertising posters, so he's making a lot of money. Famous people can't win really. If they speak their mind they open up a whole storm of ****, if they play the game they get accused of being false. But 99% of people are a bit false anyway, most people who go to work and interact with people do have to fake it too. In certain contexts we do sometimes have to play the game. But no one is scrutinising us the same way as they do famous people.

I've never heard of "Celebrity Juice" and I don't watch Jonathan Ross or anything or mainstream TV (I don't watch TV), and Joshua is a bit dull. I can't stand long interviews with him. He's not exactly entertaining to me, but I'm sure air-headed girls and some boys think he's amazing. To me, he's kind of dull. And weird sometimes.

But I still class him as quite likeable. He's quite laid back. His attitude to the sport is good, he talks some trash but not too much, he didn't make much excuse when he lost, which impressed me. He's generally behaving like a normal adult, which is better than a lot of boxers these days who are just ****s really.
