Right over the years we have had our fair share of world champions in near enough every single division in boxing.
    Heavyweights through to Straweights
Though it got me thinking, what is our current Win / Loss / Draw record in every single division

For heavyweight boxing we've had the following world champs :good Fitzsimmons / Lewis / Bruno / Hide / Haye / Bentt .... though whats our win loss record (ohh an of course a controversial draw) :good

Yeah unless you're willing to a bit of maths to get the ball rolling then I don't think it's worth anyones time.

Also, I don't count Fitz as British. He didn't. He was an American citizen when he beat Jim Corbett, and was previously renowned as a Kiwi. He was born here but never considered himself British and technically wasn't when he won the title :good

Also, what qualifies as a World Title?

Surely you'd have to include British guys who lost their 'world' title fights? Otherwise the records would be pointless.

I couldn't be bothered to find it all out but I'm pretty sure we'd have a losing record overall.

....right i'm gonna get the ball rolling and work out the heavyweights first...
I'm gonna count fitzsimmons as being a brit alongside all the other's (ie Bentt)...
I'll go for the universally recognised WBC / WBA / IBF / WBO / WBA ...

I've started so i'm following this one through to the end ..........

There was a thread on this forum a few months back where someone was listing every Brit in a "World" title fight :bbb

    Up to 1993 we were

    3 -18

Now since then we have reached the following record at heavyweight (Inc Brits against Brits)

27 wins against 28 losses and 1 draw

Theoretically by the end of the year Haye can get us to a positive winning record...backs against the ropes that's when us Brits always show what we are made of..
    C"mon Haye!!!!?

Yeah I've got the likes of Akinwande, Harrison, Skelton and Welch...the major brunt of our victories were achieved by Lennox Lewis
