Americans say Haye is glass jawed but has never been knocked out. On his feet when Booth pulled him out vs Thompson and points vs Wlad. I belive Khan is glass jawed and hasn't adapted to move away from power shots to take some of the sting out it and be able to take it. Wlad protects his chin so now he can remain dominant, Khan should look at this. I think Roy Jones jnr is a classic glass jawed fighter!!

 

Khans problem is that his power to chin ratio is terrible, he has a dreadful chin and average power at best, if you have a bad chin then you better have that power to keep your opponent honest, and if you don't have the power to keep them off then you need to be able to hold a shot like paulie etc

Khan is lacking on both sides of the coin, can you name a fighter at the top level with a glass chin and poor power?

When you throw in no defence and dreadful ring iq, it's actually shocking that Khan has done as well as he has

 

Phill, do you think that a trainer like manny steward could re build khan? teach him to fight behind a jab like wlad. or should he retire??

 

Steward could add some structure to Khan, if khan was able to sit down and be honest and accept his weakness, the thing is Khan can fight an exciting style against the Kotelnik and maglinaggi types, but against punchers he is going to have to be content with jabbing away, stinking the place out and taking a boring UD

This will make him better than he is, and I think he can beat guys like Garcia like that

But imo he needs to forget the whole pound for pound aspirations, he will never be that, not with his weaknesses.

He needs to settle for "very good"

He will never dominate on a wlad level, he doesn't have the comparative size, strength and concussive, one punch power.

The truly elite will beat him, every time
