British commentators are funniest to listen to when a U.K fighter gets knocked out.

The words they use, the tone of their voices are just so inexplicably funny, it might be intentional, it might not but it's the best.. The surprise of it all, hilarity just ensues. Jesus..

It's not a bad thing of course, it adds entertainment value.

Now, I'm not trying to be nationalistic in ANY WAY, it's happened so many times it's a real trend that needs ****ysing.

Some of the quotes they use

    "Oh Goodness Me" :lol::rofl
    "Oh blimey" :yep:rofl
"He's all over the place!!!!!" :rofl
"He was on JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLY legs when he got up" :rofl
"Oh dear dear dear dear dear!!!" :rofl

Many a Gentlemanly British Bespoke Personage , imbued with a linguistic eloquence has been most revered for their descriptive prowess behind the Mike, an eminence borne of being born in the land of Shakespeare and wordsworth perhaps ? 'Venting the Verbals' is second nature to many.... Cheers Me Ol' China.

'Scott Gilfoid is a pen name, a troll alias. He owns ESB and BN24 and his twitter/articles all consist of slating British fighters. Guess it gets him exposure but he's nowhere near a credible source.
^^^^ What he said. Gilfoid and Collins are 'alts'. They do not exist and they put forth a ****load of controversial opinions only to create some clicks on the site.'

Again with the brits  You do have a point however, british commentators do go overboard when a fighter is struggling, especially Jim Watt.

The best was that commentator in the Teper fight who said "The good news is Pricey doesn't panic! He seems very composed!" and 20 seconds later he gets KTFO

    Almost George Foreman like.

    [yt]CCzuKIT9Jjk[/yt]

"Roy is playing the feinting game and Griffin is benefitting by it"

1 second later and Griffin is knocked on his back by a left hook. :rofl:patsch

"Every tick goes by is adding to Shannon Brigg's favor"

1 second later and he gets put on his ass by Lewis. :rofl

"This night the referee will be the most important man in the ring but the fighters"

Putting this on its head, the american commentator in Froch vs Taylor was going ballistic when Froch was stalking him with a minute to go ''TAYLOR... HE RAN OUT OF GASSSSSSSSS!!!!!'

You're just not seeing it, it's more than just that.

I'm friends with people from Britain and my friends have been there, they don't talk like that. :yep

You listed a load of common phrases that people from those commentators generation use, so theres not really much to get. The people you're friends with are probably younger and don't use those phrases anymore, same with every country.

They're funny, period! I remember watching some David Haye fight once, and the British commentator was screaming some nonsense, something to the effect "Not since Muhammad Ali has the heavyweight division seen a heavyweight who's this fast and amazing!"

    :rofl
