    And American/german/australian(etc) commentators don't do the same for their fighters?...this is far from an exclusively British trend

    Joshua would annhilate Wilder. So would Delboy, and probably Whyte. :good Regardless since that fraud has a WBC trinket, his fights will more than likely be covered over there as long as his bum tour continues.

    I wasn't even claiming it's a trend. I was claiming they're funny, and to me, that's usually a good thing.

    The example I gave was just one of the most ridiculous things I had ever heard from a British commentator that had me laughing hysterically.

    Some are younger but some are also in their 30's/40's!!!!

    They've been in the UK for many years and they told me there's no way they talk like that. :lol:

    The tone, the enunciation, it's just funny!!!

    Nothing bad about it like I said.

    Yeah I guess commentators can't really talk like they would if they were just sat with their friends otherwise it would be boring for the viewer. I doubt any commentator talks in everyday life like they do behind a mic, that would be weird. Although I would like to imagine buffer sounds exactly the same when he goes to the grocery store etc :lol:

    There is nothing comedic about British fighters getting knocked out actually. And that tends to happen rather infrequently

    Well anyways, this thread is not a knock on any British commentator or fighter.

    It's to note that British commentators are hilarious to listen to because of some of the words they use, the enunciation, the tones.

    That's it!!

    It just adds entertainment value to it.

    They have some of the best quotes.
