tiger woods off the tee hit a tree and the ball rebounded 200 yards further back behind him. now he is in the middle of a hedge 700 yards to the green. 3 water hazards a dog leg and 18 bunkers with rough 18 foot deep either side woods takes his shot what do we hear. IN THE HOLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
True. Also, The New York Times once commented that the atmosphere at a English football game made its "American 'football' counterparts appear in the middle of an epidemic of laryngitis". They're just to busy eating to make a noise.
So us Brits are annoying for not sitting on our hands the whole fight staring forwards and not making a sound. Well shame on us
it was his strategy...it was his plan...he didn't just wake up in the middle of the fight and said...oh...I know what...I'll try for the body...
Yeah it was really silly for them to sing and have a band. Hey news flash morons there's a fight going on in the ring in front of you. I would have thrown my beer down that tuba chute and drown that idiot. And all the singing Castillo probley quit cause he didn't want to hear that **** anymore.
yeah probably atsch I will never understand the mindset wear you have to pretend your in a library at a sporting event! THE LOUDER THE BETTER!
LOL, taking tips on how to support from the yanks. These are people who wear foam hands and jab the big finger in the air as a form of support, or put face paint on their bellies. People who wear giant nacho hats and have nuts, burgers, hot dogs, drinks and ice creams brought to them at sports games. People who pay an entrance fee and then watch the big screens. You cannot deny having a massive singing element provides Hatton/Cotto etc. with a massive adrenaline boost, and completely intimidates their opponents. However, the singing is what all football/boxing fans, America excepted do. Plymouth Argyle, England http://youtube.com/watch?v=UJTpmoueVfE Liverpool fans, England http://youtube.com/watch?v=11MQnQ8QjJs&mode=related&search= England national fans http://youtube.com/watch?v=_69Tw10kgQY&mode=related&search= Celtic fans, Scotland http://youtube.com/watch?v=A8cffEaZGh0 Urawa Reds, Japan http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZnAgvWNlneM&mode=related&search= AS Roma, Italy http://youtube.com/watch?v=mwZ02_NiGws Bayern Munchen, Germany http://youtube.com/watch?v=FKGjUZ0iwMs Beskitas, Turkey http://youtube.com/watch?v=9zuqQ27EwRs ...and in the USA? Cincinnati Reds, USA http://youtube.com/watch?v=o_z6TYGRWUA :hey
Can you imagine 8000 Americans flying to England to support their best fighter? I doubt 100 would make the effort.
f**k me what do you yanks want there to be silence for??do you expect to hear batman type noises like ,CRASH,WALLOP,KAPOW!!if you want silence go to church or the library for gods sake.its a sport and behind any (british)sportsmen your going to get proud as hell fans following cheering them on!!i mean c'mon complaining about noise through a boxing match is just pathetic!!
Breaking out in song (especially the crappy songs the British fans were singing) is just not appropriate for a boxing match. Yes, it works for Soccer. It meshes well with the pace of the game (which is generally one that puts me to sleep) and the general atmosphere of this kind of event. Boxing is a unique spectacle. Having a band in the audience disturbs the ebb and flow of the match. It clashes horribly with the Las Vegas fight culture. I could go on and on. Basically it just sucks In any case, good win for Hatton. - Jason
