I think if your English you back Haye. If your English and you don't back Haye, then that says more about our country than it does about Hayes popularity.

I disagree, I don't see Haye as a hugely patriotic person himself. He doesn't live in England, spends little time here and even has the Cyprus flag on his shorts. That's fine, nothing wrong with that good luck to him.

However, personally I think he only uses the British angle to sell more tickets, he's not someone who comes across as being exceptionally proud to be British or English to me. There are fighters who are, I wouldn't say he's one of them, imho.

it's all about PPV. Same reason Lewis suddenly forgot he was a naturalised Canadian of wholly Caribbean ancestory.

I'm not sure Lewis did it for the money or business reasons. He probably did it for the 'prestige' - it's cooler to be English than Canadian (arguably :p)

**** off with this. Fighters' country of origin is coincidental, its not like an international football team where players represent their country and play under their country's name

Both Wlad and Vitali are very good fighters. If the division had more danger men in it like in the 80's/90's then Haye would never even have moved up in the first place.

The only way Haye beats Wlad is fluke punch. The only way he beats Vitali is age. He has nothing on either of them save power over old man Vitali.

As for the thread. I support the guys who i think represent the sport the best wherever they may come from. So that would be Wlad and Vitali.

I support the individual more than the country.

I will support David Haye, he's flamboyant, makes me laugh, Handsome, a dedicated proffessional and is a Winner, i like his mentality.

    Reminds of myself.....
