When it's all said and done, do you think Amir Khan will surpass Hatton and Hamed as all-time greats in your country? If he becomes the 140 King by beating Alexander/Bradley winner, Marquez. Then goes to 147 and wins a couple belts their. He has great physicall ability to jump to 147 where Hatton did not. Khan has a great work ethic and is bloody-fast although a bit chinny.

Khan will surpass both within the next 2 years if not this year.

If he beats Bradley/Alexander and someone like Ortiz/Marquez before having a close fight with Floyd. All before the end of 2012 (Mayan prophecies permitting), that will surpass both guys.

Big IF but I am sure that is the plan.

    close fight with floyd

Hatton would still have a better CV than Khan, both with losses to Mayweather....and Hatton doesnt have a loss to a nobody either.....and so would Naz, give Khan 4 years and its possible

IDK man Hamed and Hatton are great fighters but neither have really that great of resumes. IMO 2-3 more good wins and he is on par with them in terms or resume.

He may surpass both, but it isn't sure at all yet.
He survived against Maidana, but that isn't a guarantee he will beat the other top fighters in the division. But it's very possible.

Obviously Hatton showed longevity, but in terms of their top 5 wins, Khan should have better names by the end of 2012.

yeah, and their is a good chance he'll have more losses too. i like khan, but hes not even close to mayweathers level...i think he'll beat bradley though after he wins against alexander.

Don't think Khan will ever be that great, because he's fighting during Berto's era, sooner or later he's gonna run in chin first into the Haitian's jaw melting uppercut, and when he does....the Brits will need another china-chinned-glass-jawed hype job to replace Khan, as Khan replaced the previous china-chinned-glass-jawed-cocaine snorting-fatty known as Ricky Hatton.

Well it depends what you value more. If you're like me and you're not really bothered by how many losses you see on a resume, then there's a good chance Khan could at least match Hatton's achievements in the next 2 years.

He's operating in a far more talented light welterweight division than that of Hatton's, and if he conquers it, his collection of top wins will at least be level to Hatton's collection - who only has a past-prime Zoo to his name. What Khan goes on to do afterwards - win a title at 147, make a few defences etc, will surely grant him a better legacy. Because we also need to take into consideration the talent that will emerge in and around 140 and 147 during this time. If, and it's a big if, Khan continues developing and grabs a few good wins on the way, he could be regarded as the best British fighter since Lennox Lewis.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves. As of now, I don't even think he'll beat Timmy Bradley if and when they meet.
