Is it me or are a lot of British Fight Fights very fickle ?

This forum is renowned for having the most common sense, yet sometimes it baffles me.
Why on earth are the Olympians (Gavin and DeGale in particular) getting such strange reviews ?

When they both had their debuts, a lot was being made of Gavin looking good and DeGale looking ****. Now, one fight later Gavin is going nowehere yet there's a queue to suck DeGale off?

Now i'm not saying Gavin will prosper or indeed that DeGale is ****, but Gavin doesn't need the 'power' you all say he does, and DeGale fought a man pretending to be a Giraffe so come on lds lets wait till these lads get in against decent oppositin then make predictions or write them off.

    Thats all:good

Is that thread about DeGale being a 3 weight champ serious??

I do agree though particularly in Gavins case

    :lol:I didn't think so somehow

However,DeGales performance was atleast a step in the right direction even if the opponent was poor

seems like all young british and to a lesser extent irish ones, young pros with a good am history would be better off going to america to train and focus on getting better and learning their trade then return after about 10 or 15 fights without ridiculous expectation and the need to fight to a style called by us fans and the media

  6. Tell me about..... I was shot down by everyone on here when I said I thought Degale would go the furthest after his debut fight, now everyone seems to have jumped on the bandwagon.
