Your right McCulloch was way to tough for his own good. Both Harrison and Morales (both peak) punched the crap out of him but he kept going.

I remember him saying how him and Harrison went to weigh in and Harrison looked like a ghost but come fight night he had turned into a monster.

Harrison, Gatti and Hatton all benefited more than most from the day before weigh in, they all seem to be able to rehydrate better than most.

 

I think Hatton certainly did under Kerry Kayes - for me the nutrition helped greatly in turning him from WBU turkey to P4P fighter, plus Billy Graham encouraging him to do what HE wanted rather than what Warren did.

It is very ironic now that Graham boosted Hatton's ego into firing him, something I struggle to understand at this stage of his career.

 

I don't blame him for not deserving the shot, but I do blame him for not growing a set of balls.

Even though he was only in it for the money, he owed us a couple more rounds. I expected Lockett to get hit a few more times for my Setanta subscription.
I hope never to see his sorry face in a boxing ring again, getting punched or otherwise.

Let's not forget this was effectively for the undisputed title - taking a dive simply isn't on.

Other guys have taken beatings, such as Danny Williams, but at least they went out on their shield instead of taking the easy option.

 

Even though he said he wasn't interested in the glory, I thought that a bit of personal pride may have kicked in come fight time.

He punched hard enough to make it interesting for a few rounds, but couldn't be arsed. Even Amir Khan put him to shame with his laughable effort against Prescott.

It has to be Herol Graham vs Julian Jackson.

Graham snatched defeat from the jaws of victory so spectacularly I say thats its the most painful defeat a british fighter has ever faced.

I mean, if that fight happened another 10 times, Graham would have won the next 10 times. However, Jackson landed with the luckiest of punches that will never be forgotten.

Brutal & painful. Nothing compares.

What the hell happened to Lear anyway? He looked good in that fight, real good, yet disapeared and according to Boxrec only fought once more.
