Had Haye to win outright €20 @ Evens

And a double, €5 on Haye and Dawson both to win on points @ 6/1

Dawson should win on points, i mean that is if Johnson can go for the distance which i think he can and there are no cuts

We have Kettering away in the next round.

This is going to be just like last year, playing on a park pitch on a **** wet through day...... I'm definitely putting £2 on us to lose.

I kinda hoped we would lose yesterday to avoid having meaningless games and the chances of losing players thru injuries and suspensions.....

Close, but no cigar:verysadOnly had a £1 on it for a £20 return. Will appreciate any more Euro football tips in future though:good
Yeah Oldham wouldn't have been a bad team to have lost to and go out in the 1st rather than have a **** fixture and most likely go through to the 3rd.
Also Leeds are in this LDV Vans trophy or whatever that is aren't they?Grimsby on tuesday? Will leave that game alone, can't be sure how seriously Leeds will take it.Surely the league is the priority

Anyone else thinking of laying some money on Bosina Hervegovina over Portugal or is it just me?

Bosina is a tough ass ****in team and a 8.50 odd is just ****ing appealing.

Also even a draw is worth a stab at 4.00

so if you want a insurance would be in place somehow but still.. this game is very interesting.

We got a goal scoring Ibisevic for Hoffenheim who is on a roll who scored 3 in his last 5.

Misimovic from Wolfsburg scored 3 goals in 3 games in a row and they werent against scrub teams either. Besiktas at the CL, Mainz, and a 2-1 game winner this week vs Hoffenheim.

Plus we all know Dzeko from last season, that guy scores some pretty mean rippers sometimes and is pretty consistent in the Bundesliga so far .

Pijanic has been getting time for Lyon and has been OK so far.. he scored a goal today vs. Marsielle, but i didnt see the match yet. heard it was a cracke-r tho.

Sides these guys tho, it seems like the other Bosnian players mainly defense and midfeild, it like they are completely unknown and have mad not much impact.

But still, these guys i mentioned are on form and scoring goals.

    Now on to Portugal

Almeida is comming off a 2 month layoff (injury) for Werder Bremen, and scored in the Europa Leauge to seal a win over Austria. I watched the Bremen game today vs. Borussia and they looked kinda bad but still thats nothing to be worried about cause for starters they are comming off a huge win and Borussia is a tough away team to crack, they seem to always manage a draw. 1 4 1 is their record on away games so yea, drawing and looking bad for Borussia isnt much to be worried about. Almieda didnt do much but he got a full 90 mins(89 mins, for all you smart asses out there :p ).

Nuno Gomes isnt even getting much time for Benifica...

    C. Ronaldo pretty much always delivers so no doubt he will be game.

Petit is in one of the worst teams in the Bundesliga, Koln, and he isnt showing anything.

Deco i guess has been OK but im not to much of a Chelsea watcher but i seen him vs Man U today and he was decent i think..

Simao seems to be struggling for a very struggling Atletico Madrid.

etc.. just look up their players and you will see what im talking about...

    Bottom Line:

Portugal are doing great as a team recently Portugal are 6 wins 2 draws and 0 lost in thier last 8, but really when you look at it, who did they beat really? Hungary and Malta are anything to brag about.

Bosina lost to Spain 5-2, thats nothing really to shamefull to lose to the best team in the world, beat Estonia and held the Turks in a important 1-1 draw.

Bosnia: has great in form strikers, decent midfield, and unknown defense / goalkeeper

Porkies: has good questionable strikers, unknown midfield, great defense and pretty good keeper.

Do you think these E. Europeans can pull out a draw vs. a top and well schooled team like Portugal ?

If anything, Bosnia has a good "punchers chance" if you will.

    That is all.

I think Liedson, the Sporting Lisbon striker is Portugal's main striker at the moment not Nuno Gomes. He's a good box player, good finisher, but doesn't offer anything else and can be invisible unless he scores. That is Portugal's main problem, has been for as long as I can remember. They have the midfielders to supply but the strikers have always sucked ass. I bet they even wish they could have Pauleta back from retirement !

I personally expect Portugal to man up at this point, particularly at home. Bosnia should be very competitive at home but even though Portugal look like donkey **** this is the time big teams with pedigree have to perform and I'd expect them to do so at home. If anything the draw is the most tempting to me but I expect Portugal to win. I don't really trust Bosnia's defence even though they are a great attacking and technical passing team.
