Na not me personally, Portsmouth seem to be finding a bit of form under Grant and Sunderland are inconsistent just now.
inconsistent? i think not. they are 5-1-1 when playing home...2 of those victories comming by way of 1-0 to Liverpool and Arsenal.... they only lost to Chelsea and thats quite understandable. second opinion anyone?
Since they lost Cattermole they have been abit **** although there home forms quiet good. Portsmouth going anywhere look as if they can sneak a win though. Can't really say much on there form as they have been playing well but need to find the net more often. Hard game to call but good luck
Sunderland are a fair enough bet but it depends on the odds. Like 1/2 I doubt I'd bother because Portsmouth have improved. Even against United I thought we were fortunate to get a 1-4, it was really flattering.
Sunderland 4/5 draw 5/2 Portsmouth 15/4 One of those strange ones where the favourites are a decent price even though draw and opposition are long odds. Suggests the bookies perhaps aren't sure either? I quite fancy Sunderland personally. Jones's first game back at home following his suspension. They've lost 3 of the last 4 in the league, all 3 away from home, so the inconsistency they've shown alone suggests they are therefore due a win! They've been very strong at home so far this year. I won't be piling on it but it's definitley worth a few of my chips at 4/5.
I'd take Sunderland to beat Portsmouth at home. Pompey are a handful on their own turf but their away form is terrible. Add something else to give a bit better value I'd say.
Portsmouth are 17/8 to finish bottom. Rumour has it they are heading into administration - which means -10pts...... might be worth considering. These are the current relegation odds as well..... Portsmouth 4/6 Hull 5/7 Wolves 4/5 Burnley 8/5 Bolton 3/1 West Ham 5/1 Wigan 11/2 Birmingham 13/2 :think
The price on Wolves seems quite generous to me but I hate waiting for these bets to come in so I won't be going near it.
Two dogs for tonight - 20.38 Perry Barr: Ballylea Honcho The only railer in this 710m stayers race.Guaranteed a solo on the rails. The others could well crowd themselves out of it.A couple of Swindon trainers have entries in the race and they fear this dog.Should be around 7/2. 21.24 Hove: Superstar Lily trained by our syndicates trainer. We rate this ***** very, very highly! She won last week at Hove by 7 & 1/2 lengths and the time was around 20 spots faster then the rest of the field has done lately. She will be around 2/1, if she opens higher than that the price will be taken I'd have thought.
My main bet for the weekend: Spurs 1/4 Malignaggi Diaz Over 9.5 rnds 1/5 The double pays at 1/2 with Boylesports :thumbsup
