We'll see. I'm not a huge believer of Vitali's power anymore I have to say. Guy throws millions of punches and never looks like stopping them until they are completely worn out. Arreola took everything he had, so did Gomez for a period, so did Sam Peter. If Johnson shows a bit of slickness which I have seen from him in the past it won't be easy for Vitali to get a KO. I certainly think the +9.5.

Ya never know though if Johnson has a glass jaw, never faced anybody in his whole life.

    For the PL......

I'm thinking Spurs, Sunderland, Man Utd and Man City....... maybe Arsenal in place of Man Utd - Villa getting a point wouldn't be a shock, whilst Arsenal could win at Anfield.

    On Johnson....

I'm fancying Klitschko by stoppage at 8/15, he might do the usual against a Klit and come in heavy - thus making him a stationary target, rather than using his advantages to..... well..... his advantage!

    Worth a thought I'd say.

I've got a very small accumulator on

    Lille 4/9 (won tonight)
    PSG v St Etienne 4/6
    Marseille v Boulogne 1/4
Le Mans v Valenciennes draw 2/1

    Would pay at 9.03

I'm surprised when anybody gets a point at Old Trafford outside of the top 4 teams. Even if its Villa, they are good but its still a different level when United turn up. Vidic is back to ease the defensive crisis too so at least two of the back 4 will be first choice (Evra, Vidic) and Fletcher is a good right-back.

I'm not so sure about Utd this weekend. Villa are in good form.

What do you think of Spurs?

I had been fancying the over for Vitali Johnson more and more until I herad KJ saying he was going to kO Vitali  Not sure if it is just mind games:?

For some reason I paid no attention to Spurs on my list of games, probably an indication of how irrelevant and pointless they are

Yeah I'd say they are 65% at home against Wolves. The odds would suggest they're better than that but Spurs are Spurs

see theres your problem... Peter, Arreola and Gomez were all proven fighters prior to fighting Vitali.

Peter beat Maskaev, showed a lot of good form in the Wlad fight, whooped James Toney's ass and had some pretty impressive knockouts in between.

Areola whooped Witherspoon, McCline and Walker who are all decent contenders.

Gomez was a proven Cruiserweight and he beat McCalls ass and I think he beat Sinan Samil Sam as welll... not sure.

Who is Johnson? How is this guy more prooven and what does he pocess diferantly than these other guys? what will change my mind to think he even has a chance or even last 8 rounds?

Vitali is also 1-0(1KO) vs. fighters named Johnson as well. :D

This guy is just a featherfisted nobody who just so happened to look pretty good vs. some decent to poor oposition and talk **** how hes the next big thing, when he looked like a fool when he spoke to John Ruiz.

Johnson is just talking garbage and trying to hype the fight, tis all, he doesnt have much to beat Vitali imo.

He hasn't looked that great, I'm not saying he's great. He doesn't need to be great to last rounds, Sam Peter did it and he ate virtually everything. Gomez was out of his element as a counterpuncher and still wasn't stopped until late, he was even regarded as a bit chinny. Arreola again ate everything.

If Johnson has a solid chin, its his style that interests me because he has a few slick moves on the defence that might keep him in there.

Anyway, knowing my luck of the past week if I take the over 9.5 Johnson will be stopped 1:29 into round 9 by the referee just because Vitali has him on the ropes.

Marsielle should win. Bouloagne are a horrid team atm.

Le Mans and Val should be a draw, i agree with that.

PSG should win, but keep in mind, these guys have a poor keeper.

PSG are 17-9-1 all time vs. St. Etienne when playing home, so thats a great stat.

one thing i notice a lot when i watched last week Ligue 1 highlights is Saint Etienne are actually a pretty beastly team....(17th in the League)

Seriously, i was even scared in the Auxerre game when they held us to a draw!

I thought either, well its either we sucked that game or St. Etienne is actually a good team in disguise ?

look at some of their stats

them ****ers average 52 % possession a game...thats the 4rth best in the league...

these guys have 136 shot on goal in home games(first in the leauge)

ONLY 39 on TARGET 28.0% Percentage....

If these guys had a decent striker or 2, they would be pretty beastly.

    PSG should win 3-1

Is that how these bets work? I've never been sure and the only time I had a bet on that ended in the X.5 round I got paid out two weeks after the event so I didn't know if it was a mistake by Ladbrokes or not! :?

Yeah even though I've picked a draw in the line The PSG one is the one I'm most concerned about. Remembered what you'd said about their keepr. Home form is decent though so I thought it was worth including on a v small stake bet.

Yep I believe so. Literally half the round, 1:30 is the cut off point so 1:29 left in the round would be a win. I guess they go by the on-screen timer or the official time announced for the stoppage, more likely the latter come to think of it.
