tip of the day...portsmouth to get relagated at 25/1, they've got a tough run in. Newcastle to stay up.

    portsmouth's fixtures:
    newcastle (A)...tough
    Arsenal (H)...tough
    Blackburn (A)...tough
    Sunderland (H)...Win
Wigan (A)...depends if wigan have anything to play for

Newcastle have 3 winnable home games and are away against villa on the last day

    Stick a fork in Newcastle.

The players have no balls, no desire for the fight.

    Unlike....

    West Brom
    Sunderland
    Portsmouth
    Stoke
    Hull
    Blackburn

Even you prediction has Pompey getting a minimum of 40 points, which has only seen three teams relegated since the league cut to 20 teams. Forty points will very likely be enough. Arsenal at home is eminately winnable for them as Arsenal have absolutely nothing to play for in the Premiership and that game is three days before the second leg of the Champions League semi final - you seriously want to stake money on Arsenal turning up for the Portsmouth game? Wigan are unlikely to have anything to play for on the last day as they are comfortably out of European contention and comfortably above the relegation zone. Even if Newcastle did go on a run and finish above Portsmouth there's no guarantee that Hull or Sunderland will as well. And that's all assuming Portsmouth don't just do a job at St James Park tonight which they are more than capable of doing against what is a woeful Newcastle side.

But if you do fancy it 26 and 27/1 are available on Betfair.

yh some good points ther...ur making me doubt myself now, bt i have faith - thers always surprises when it comes to this stage of the season. i did think the arsenal game came after the champo league 2nd leg bt ther U18's would still give anyone a game and wigan have a mangaer who has pride and wont want to lose especially wiv it being at home, its worth a punt anyway

i already stuck £5 on it...u watch pompey do a number on newcastle tonight now
