I reckon they have the "going the distance price" just about right. Not because Clottey can be hurt easily, but because of his questionable stamina. If he tires and the volume he is throwing back against Pacman diminishes, no referee is going to have problems calling the stoppage, given the respective fame of the two fighters.
Bit early but United 4/5 to beat Liverpool next week, bit bias but that is a good price giving current form and how shite Liverpool are away.
Scraping the barrell bet for tonight... Soto - Diaz over 8.5 Gomez - Castillo over 8.5 Double @ 9/6-ish
This worked out a treat. Add that to the Vitali/Johnson 'high value surprise decision' list :yep Next one could be Wladimir over Eddie Chambers IMO. Paying at 7/4 at the moment, I'm hoping for better as the week progresses.
Fast Eddie has speed and defence. He's not going to be as soft of a touch as some of the robots Klitschko has been facing that stand there with zero body or head movement. I think Wlad will take a clear decision though.
Yeah agreed..... I can't see Chambers throwing enough punches to convince the judges that he won a particular round. If he comes into the fight in reasonable shape I can see him having the stamina and engine to go the full 12. I personally think he's fighting the wrong brother - I'd definitely give him a chance of upsetting Vitali. Johnson frustrated the hell out of him..... Chambers would do better in that department and would actually throw back.
True, Vitali shows a lot of signs of wear and tear. Wlad is just too athletic and plain big and skilled for Chambers to outbox and he hasn't got the power.
I won't back Liverpool, not even at home to Pompey Wigan vs Aston Villa 6/5 This seems a decent bet to me Some early CL picks(weds): Bordeaux vs Olympiakos 4/7 Barcelona vs Stuttgart 1/4
Running with a long shot in the mid week English fixtures: Southampton V Swindon Notts County V Bournemouth Stevenage V Histon Preston V Sheff Wed Wigan V Aston Villa 16/1 shot. Also running with Newcastle again in a couple of doubles.
I noticed that yesterday as well. Seems a very generous price. Liverpool have a habbit of breaking bad runs in big games though. Think I'll stick to including it in an accumulator rather than putting anything big on it.
I didn't see their last game against Boro but going on the form of the few games before it's a safe bet. Games against Boro often end in a draw for us so I wouldn't read too much into it even if Newcastle were poor. Carroll and Lovenkrands (especially at home) are both on great form and I can see a few goals again. Routledge is back in the squad and seems to add a bit as well. Only worry is that that fat *******'s comments have upset the dressing room slightly. Before the Boro game he needlessly came out and said that if we go up Nolan and Smith's salaries will have to be cut. Why he can't just keep his gob shut when things are going well is beyond me. I hadn't realised the handicap was quite such good value and might throw a few quid on it myself. :good
