Ah, that makes more sense. I see why the odds are so long now. I think the picks are fine but obviously to get the KO's is going to require a big chunk of fortune hence the price. Hopkins and Haye havn't often done that. If you take a percentage of their wins the KO would be pretty small I'd think and we're in the era of ref stoppages, so...to get two would be tough.

    Still, give it a stab

Then again Roy Jones has been knocked out cold twice in recent years so you've got hope there. Glen Johnson is not a big puncher so in theory that is on the cards.

KO'ing Ruiz will be a lot more difficult but it has happened so you've got hope :yep

I am actually most confident about that one. I did a £20 single on Haye KO at 4/1 odds. I think Ruiz is going to make Haye look class and Haye will use this defence to make a statement.

Yeah - I hear you. I only stuck a fiver on it as it is worth a punt. Hopkins KO win could be the worse pick as I have a gut feeling these two are only going to go through the motions as the whole match up is such a farce anyway.

I'm not so sure, I think the ref stoppage is more on the cards for this. The ref stoppage is always a favoured outcome by far statistically in any fight but I think of the two Roy Jones is more likely to get KO'd cleanly. A sneaky right hand from Hopkins or the left-hook...I could imagine it. If Glen can do it why not?

But Ruiz has been stopped once in total and it was by KO but it took the raw power of a Tua left-hook and Ruiz is much stronger now. If you think about Haye's big stoppages, Enzo got back up and the ref waved it off. Mormeck got back up and the ref waved it off. Fragomeni took a bit of a shellacking until the ref called it a day. The only big one I can think of is Gurov who is known for having a weak chin. I also think the 'UK Factor' is one to consider, refs do seem to like stepping in when somebody is hurt.

But yeah, nothing is ever cut and dry or this logical in boxing. When you have speed and power anything is possible.

Yeah, good points. I might have to stop being so greedy and just do the stoppage rather than exact method of victory, well for the next bet anyhow. You are right, the ref does jump in to stop fights moreso than a KO victory....

    £224 back.

£204 gone on Haye (1/7) & Groves (1/3) double that works out at a shade over 1/2.

    I like that bet.

    Nice.

Think I might steal that one.

Might have a dabble (say £10) on both to win on points.

Points would be my preferred method for both, but when lumping on I'm happy to go for the win odds only.

Haye out to 1/8 now on Bet365. He was 2/9 not so long ago. . . .

Boylesports have 'Haye to get knocked DOWN' at 9/2 - I might have a go at that. I think haye will get careless trying to get him out of there and might suffer a KD on the way to a victory.

Edit: And they have 'Both fighters to get knocked down' at 8/1 so a double on those two pays nearly 50/1......seems generous

Edit 2: In fact you can treble that with 'Ruiz to be knocked down' (already included in one bet anyway....so no extra risk) and effectively get 71/1 on them both getting knocked down - MASSIVE

Edit 3: Now I'm getting silly - I just went thru all the bets involving KDs and got it up to a 5 fold accumulator @ 196-1 (there are 6 bets but Boylesports don't allow those it seems)

See if you can beat that

PS i've put £5 on - fingers crossed

    Doesn't work like that bud.

8/1 for both to get knocked down

I know - seems like a glitch on their site - they've taken the bets.

I've just seen that-70/1 for both fighters to be KD. No doubt they'll void the bet, worth a try though.

Lion Messi hat-trick 22-1, not tonight though, have that bet in the home leg.

Arsenal to win by 3 or more goals 25-1. Avoid.
