Yeah but they priced up the draw at 40/1 some time near the end... So I thought I'd kiss that goodbye...and I check my balance and it was a real 'WTF' moment. Not bad winnings for no risk That upped my profit by £70.
I guess it must be because they didn't have the draw priced when I actually made the bet on Sexton but I certainly didn't bank on that. Excellent.
It was Matty Hatton against N'Dou I got money back on. Backed The Panther with a substantial bit of cash. Looked like the Albino won,it was consolation enough to see Matty cry but getting my stake back made it a very enjoyable evening.
Anyway, always keep an eye on the odds at different bookies if you can handle disturbing your first viewing of the fight. Particularly Bet365 and Boyle often have large disparities. The draw turned out to be the most profitable outcome for me tonight but the only reason I could liberally throw £35 on the draw at ridiculous odds was because I got money on Bayaar at 1/4 AND Sexton at 14/1 so whatever happened I win, it was only a matter of how much. People always talk about free money but that really is free money. Bayaar was 2/7 when I first noticed the disparity but I didn't get there in time due to the gay way Boyle make you deposit, so had to settle for 1/4. Happy days :happy
TFFP, what are your thoughts on the Khan fight and the Mitchell fight? I fancy a wager this weekend lol.
I think Khan will win by decision, that'd be my thought. Khan to win definitely. If I had to bet on Mitchell/Kat I'm thinking I'd probably go with Katsidis purely because he's 6/4 and I think its 50/50.
NAP is going distance in khan fight. And Paulie to outwork and make khan look one dimensional in an easy 118-110 type decision. Katsidis too big and strong for Mitchell who won't keep him off him all night. Catches up to mitchell to stop him early in the 3rd.
Nice earner on Ferrer to beat Murray for second time in two weeks, Ferrer is my new best mate make me lots of money last few weeks. Now just need Ortiz to do the business.
I've put a few quid on Paulie to win on points at 12/1 Started with a tenner on the cup final being a draw after 90, might lay off soon... will pretty much cover the bet. Still not decided anything on Mitchell vs Katsidis yet, might have a small one on Katsidis just for interest, the odds are almost too good to turn down at 13/8.
Ferrer is at too much of a styles disadvantage against Rafa. Ferrer is a very consistent baseliner and a great mover which is why he's excellent on clay, problem is Nadal has the same attributes and a lot more power to his game. Nadal also has the top spin forehand that kicks up to Ferrer's backhand, being a small man that troubles him. Only way you can beat Rafa on clay is hope he has a horrible day or hit through him like Soderling did.
